gj on maintaining complete ineffectual practice, SE.

I don't see why people are getting on their case about this.
The fan base effectively caused the issue by flooding the site on Monday morning at 7am.
They sought to fix the issue and realised that 1) it would probably happen again and 2) if they didn't restart the site at an appropriate time, people would complain they missed their window of opportunity.
They've pushed the Physical versions back to tomorrow morning so that more people have a chance at buying it, and have staggered the releases to try and mitigate the damage this time around.
I wouldn't consider this ineffectual at all.

Meanwhile the JP and NA sites didn't have these issues, at least not to this level. And the lack of communication has been astounding.I don't see why people are getting on their case about this.

All that while we're paying more, and way more in the case of the UK. I think that it's understandable that some people are tired, disappointed, and even a bit angry. Specially when some people defend SE as if they were paying them.

I accept that people will be disgruntled, especially in regards to the pricing.Meanwhile the JP and NA sites didn't have these issues, at least not at this level. And the lack of communication has been astounding.

But complaining about the store being down is silly in my opinion. It was caused by the players and they were clearly trying their best to get it online.
Due to the EU issues, they bought in additional servers for the NA store to prevent it from happening.

I think most of the frustration is not directed at the store being down. It's about the lack of communication regarding the extended maintenance and pricing.I accept that people will be disgruntled, especially in regards to the pricing.

And anyway about shipping costs... Yoshida said in the live letter that boxed version for all the EU will be shipped FROM the UK, there is also no excuse for that price
In saying that the EU gets it cheaper when its being shipped FROM the UK but the UK pay more being shipped from the homeland... like... whaaaaaaaat lol that's clearly umm wrong right lol
Not entirely true, actually.
I was online when they opened the store and, yes... the site was very slow the first few minutes, but after a while I were perfectly able to open all the pages within a reasonable amount of time.
The only real problem the store had yesterday was caused by the "Preorder" button that was unable to put your items in the basket to complete the transaction.
That's all.
