Even if you can, there is a chance you might get slapped with import duty added with the inconvenience of the order taking longer to get to you. It might not be cost effective and ending up paying the extra anyway. That would be out of SE's control.Agreed. I'm going to periodically query them whether I can register a CE bought in euros on my account. Even if the £ price is a good 50 euros more, if I can just import a euros version I'm going to do it that way.

You don't pay duty for parcels shipped within the European Union.
You'd probably need to get it shipped to an address somewhere outside of the UK though i.e. France, Germany etc. and then have them forward it on since I doubt the checkout will let you choose the UK as a destination.
