Everyone should just spam the EU twitter account asking about the £ price. Seems they monitor that more than this thread.

And they've already stated, several times, that they can't (won't, whichever - irrelevant) say anything about it there. And even here it's not much more likely. They already have more than enough to deal with now; I understand the outrage and am just as shocked about it, but spamming them won't help. They do see the issue here as well, if/when they're ready to comment on it, I'm sure they will (but I suppose it is unlikely, they aren't obligated to explain their business decisions). Shady and unjust, from our point of view, yes. They're already aware that nobody likes it. That's all we can do, really, save for voting with our wallets.
If they haven't put up a banner for it (unlikely, what with being busy to actually fix what was broken), just use the search box - that's how we did it yesterday. Odd, but that's how it was. And no info on how limited it is, as far as I'm aware. Will the boxed CE also be available in the German and French store this time? It was not up yesterday morning before the store crashed.
Also, is there any information how limited the physical CE is? Is it within a 4 digit or 5 digit number? I want one really bad but I'm worried the store might be overloaded again tomorrow morning so that it might be tough to actually place the order very fast.

Agreed. I'm going to periodically query them whether I can register a CE bought in euros on my account. Even if the £ price is a good 50 euros more, if I can just import a euros version I'm going to do it that way.

A CE bought in Euros will work on a UK(£) account. They have confirmed. The Euro store will not ship to the UK though.Agreed. Already sort of did that:

Confirming that it is indeed £129.00.Agreed. I'm going to periodically query them whether I can register a CE bought in euros on my account. Even if the £ price is a good 50 euros more, if I can just import a euros version I'm going to do it that way.

Well not really typo actually:
UK and EU codes are the same
EU/UK and US codes are not.

Even if you can, there is a chance you might get slapped with import duty added with the inconvenience of the order taking longer to get to you. It might not be cost effective and ending up paying the extra anyway. That would be out of SE's control.Agreed. You don't pay duty for parcels shipped within the European Union.
You'd probably need to get it shipped to an address somewhere outside of the UK though i.e. France, Germany etc. and then have them forward it on since I doubt the checkout will let you choose the UK as a destination.
