Reboot-Reboot-Reboot started a thread asking why FFXIV doesn't use the classing finger cursor in the UI along with classic FF menu sound effects.

Hello,

FFシリーズでおなじみの☞ カーソルの採用と操作音SEの変更の件について、皆川と話をしてきました。
Talked to Minakawa regarding changing to FF series finger cursor and sound effects.

現在のカーソルをすべて☞ カーソルにすること自体はすぐにでも対応は可能ではあるのですが、SEの変更を行うにはそれなりの時間がかかります。カーソルとSEの変更はセットで行なうべきと考えているため、直近での変更は考えていません。
Making all the cursor into the finger cursor is possible and can be done right away but for the sound effects it will require some time. Believe the cursor and sound effect should be done together as a set therefore not planning for changes right away.

ただし、現在UIすべてを作りかえる改修を進めており、その改修の際に☞ カーソルへの変更、カーソル自体のカスタマイズ機能の実装、SEの変更を行う予定となっています。
But we are currently working on all UI changes right now, and with those changes planning to be able to change the cursor to the finger cursor, and feature to customize the cursor itself and change sound effect.

窓を閉じるのに、右上の「×」だったり閉じる？キャンセル？ボタンだったりと、統一性がないのがなんとも・・・
Closing the window, pressing the [x] on the top right, close? cancel? buttons it's not unified (all different)

についても同じタイミングで変更する予定です。

（ところで「☞」は環境によっては文字化けするケースもあるかもですが、指の形をしたカーソルのことです）
(the finger cursor (font/text) will have display problems so FYI it means finger shaped cursor) (I think he put this since the font/text for the finger shape might not display on some PC's)

船の移動中に何かしらの演出があったり、船の中でしか買えないものがあったりなのでご意見をプロデューサーの吉田と話をしてきました。
Talked to Yoshida Producer about animation/performance while on the boat, or stuff you can only buy on the boat.

以前からご意見があることはもちろん認識しているのですが、他の優先度の高い案件から対応しているため、優先度は低くなってしまっています。でも忘れてはいないので、引き続きご意見をお待ちしております！
I understand this has been mentioned from before and acknowledge it. Currently this has lower priority as we are currently working on changes which has higher priority but we didn't forget about this so please continue to giving suggestions!

GinLime started a thread saying screen is too bright in some areas and too dark in some areas, like for example when going outside of Limsa you got that bright sun effect that makes it too bright...

ただ、目の保護にサングラスは欲しくなる。
画面の前で掛けてもいいけれど、せっかくだからゲーム内でそういう機能があってほしいと思う。
Just want sunglasses to protect my eyes, it's OK wearing in real in front of screen but think it would be nice to have features like that in-game.

プロデューサーの吉田に伝えたところ、とても面白いアイディアだけど他の優先度の高い案件を先に対応しているため、描画に関する調整はもうちょっと待っててほしいとのことです。
When telling Yoshida Producer about this, he said this is interesting idea but currently working on ideas with higher priority so please wait bit more for adjustments to drawing

今後も引き続きフィードバックをお待ちしています。

JAGER started a thread about in the interview in Eo2 (I'm translating this one also now... sorry taking long) YoshiP and others were talking about mount positions, how the devs were all into it while talking ideas. He wants to know if this was real or was just talks and not going to happen.

越えなければならない壁が幾つも有りそうですが、格闘士がマウントポジションをとれたり、羽交い締めしたりスープレックスしたり、吉田Pにやっぱり冗談なのか真相を聞いてきました。
There may be lots of walls to go over but asked Yoshida Producer seriously if the Puglist being able to take mount position and performing Nelson Hold or Suplex was just a joke.

MMORPGに馴染む形で実装できればありかなぁと思ってます。
ただアニメーションの問題もあり簡単にはできないのでクラス改修の中で検討してみます。
Thinking if it can go together with MMORPG it's possible.
Only their is animation problems so it's not something easy so will have to look into this while looking at class modifications.

と、冗談ではないようでした。MMORPGという性質上、マウントポジションを取るというのは難しい気もしますが相手を掴んだまま離さないようなアクションはあってもいいですね。
So, it wasn't a joke. It might be hard to have mount position in a MMORPG but think it's good to having actions to hold the opponent.

Eruyt's diary just saying the NPC comes at Camp Horizon and starts talking instead of the empire attacking.
The text is probably better if we just see it ourselves don't know if the text Eruyt put is accurate. Talks about the upcoming disaster.
