So you're willing to make a statement but not to defend it? Alright then. I suppose I have my answer.Perhaps you and the poster above you should look at the wink at the end to infer a tongue-in-cheek statement.
If you really want to get into that discussion, I'd suggest that a) this is neither the time nor place, and b) given the state of human society and the dominant role of men in it, said discussion would almost certainly become an unproductive argument.
Those so insecure in their masculinity that a game can threaten them should probably play something else, and work on their self confidence. Also, your nephew might wish to research the regency period in history for feminine influence on male dress....and of course the Scots and their kilts....I am not intending this thread to insult people. It is just an issue occurred where my nephews were going to play ff with me noticed the little lady's day event and looked up the outfits in the game. Now they are telling me they are not going to play the game with me because it is too girly. Are we going a bit too far in the aesthetics department of design as of late in this depiction that would cause a lot of male players not to even try this game?
Seriously, your nephew needs to be set straight on a few things - and wear a pink shirt occasionally, with flowers on it...![]()
You have no such thing, I simply won't argue gender politics on this forum as I don't wish to get a temp ban or any other discipline for what would certainly become a highly off topic flame war.
Sounds more like you're using "I'd rather not get in to it" as an excuse to get away with making unwarranted statements to try and stir up responses then. That's what we call a troll.
I love arguing on the internet.
Step by step guide to starting an argument on the internet:
1. Leave comment
2. Wait
Seriously? You're attempting to incite me into arguing with you about gender politics, and you call me a troll? No offense, but this is my last reply to you in this topic, go grind your ax on someone else.
P.S. as I pointed out in my *first* reply, the comment was tongue in cheek, as indicated by the wink emoticon at the end of it. Or maybe you were in too much of a rush to argue the point that you missed that, twice...
they have one may 5th called Feast of banners but in recent years it was changed to a more including "childrens day" title. It is a holiday where you decorate your home with armor and samurai dolls rather than the porcelain dolls and decorations of Girls Day

How old are they? If they're 13 or under don't bother trying to convince them otherwise.
This game has enough bratty 12 year olds.
If they're of an appropriate age to play the game, I will admit this isn't the best time to get them started on it.
Ask them to have to patience and give it a serious chance; perhaps at a later time after the event is over.
Although this event is quite "girly" I can assure you (as you can assure them), the game itself isn't "girly" at all.
Is it too feminine? No. Is it more so than most other games? yes, but I don't see a problem in this. It's almost SE's niche to allow men to appear more feminine than most games. There are more "manly" options available such as highlander and Roes. I say it's fine as it is. (maybe add more full bearded options)Personally I kind of like my catboy looking a little fem, that's how I thought they should look when I was dreaming of them while wishing for them in FF XI.
Take pride in it, and don't let anyone tell you that you're any less of a man!
