It's a holiday pretty much for the ladies. And for outfits, there's a huge amount of latitude in how you want your characters to appear.
All that said if it's not to their liking, well, that's that. Can't please everyone. I think there's enough flexibility/options to please most people but if they can't be bothered to try... *shrug*
tl;dr: No.

You do realize that this isnt just some made up event for FFXIV right? You do know that Girls Day (or Dolls Day) is an actual thing in Japan yes? Its not even just catering to females its an actual holiday for little girls....

It's not feminine enough.

too feminine as in what exactly? Longer hair models? "pretty" looking characters (which is often how SE characters look, I mean 90% of them are young, good-looking characters both male and female). Bikini wearing, axe wielding female cat people? Muscle-bound stocky scarred up male characters? Skimpy female ARMOR?
I mean there are a lot of things that would cater to a male's sense of...well...manliness.

This game has a variety of aesthetics. It's got heavy intimidating armor as well as floofy gear. Just like that IRL game, it is what you make of it.

I think a question every one missed is, how old are your nephews? I would assume you are in your mid 20s or older, meaning you nephews could be 13 at best. Some children tend to focus on one aspect of a gender and view anything else as the other gender. Honestly, if you want them to try the game more, just give it time. Young children are usually hesitant to try something that does fit within their "current" world view.I am not intending this thread to insult people. It is just an issue occurred where my nephews were going to play ff with me noticed the little lady's day event and looked up the outfits in the game. Now they are telling me they are not going to play the game with me because it is too girly. Are we going a bit too far in the aesthetics department of design as of late in this depiction that would cause a lot of male players not to even try this game?
The Little Ladies Day event is actually supposed to be a counterpart to the Valentiones Day event, which in Japan is a "male specific" holiday. Which in real life the actual counterpart is White Day. Though I will say the Valentiones Day event felt more mixed or female based; though how to make it more male based is beyond me, since the event did exactly what the real life counterpart does, having girls give homemade gifts (usually chocolate) to boys.
As stated above White Day is actually a girl centric holiday.
And as for the swearing, drinking, and stuff, I think the game does that in equal measures. Though having girls stare at male dancers might be nice, lol.
And, as a boy, no we do not get all of the other days. Every Country and Culture is different, and most modern ones strive for equality accross the board, without pushing too far in the other direction. And while I like the Little Ladies Day event; though the reward?, Anyway, though I like it I do wish there was an event geared more towards guys. But, then again, I'm not a "stereotypical" guy, so most thing other might find "manly" I'd probably hate. Similar to the Valentiones Day event, I knew it was "supposed" to be geared towards guys, but it had a more feminine feel to me.
Now I will say girls do have more outfit options, which isn't fair.
I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.
I think you mean it's analogous to Hina Matsuri or "Dolls day" (or "Girls day"), which is not a counterpart to valentines day and is an entirely Japanese cultural event.
Valentines day in Japan is about females expressing their feelings to males (or whoever they are interested in) along with chocolates. White day (a Japanese creation) is about men reciprocating with a gift - also of chocolate. Valentiones day in Eorzea seems to be a hybrid of both given the presence of both a regular chocolate and a *white* chocolate.
Leave my bikini armor alone... :P
LOL! Well, yes, of course... Indeed...

I need to clarify, I meant "in game" they are meant to act as opposites. Though, not in a lore sense, in a real world (our world) sense. and I am aware that Valentiones day is most likely a hybrid, since, while most countries don't know about White Day, most know about Valentines Day.I think you mean it's analogous to Hina Matsuri or "Dolls day" (or "Girls day"), which is not a counterpart to valentines day and is an entirely Japanese cultural event.

Sorry for the confusion.
