How? In what way will this work that isnt already in place? People buy time and sell it in game. Well, people already buy items and sell them in game, Dyes, Bond Rings, etc. The only difference this will make is who is paying SE for the time, me or the guy who sold the time on the MW. There is no good reason or positive benefit for adding this system in that isnt already in place. So why even bother?

You say you don't want the game to change, and yet it already has. You say there is a massive, overwhelming outcry against the cash shop, and yet with almost every single new patch the cash shop grows even larger.

Which the GMs already said that it was a mistake and told players to avoid doing so, but wouldn't punish them since the cat was out of the bag. So grats, you exploited a flaw in the EB system, hope it was a $20 well spent.

As I said before, I wonder how many people in this thread have bought gil. If they fight so badly for a legit way to buy gil, what would buying a few million from a gil seller matter? Heck, just buy some gil, buy a powerlevel service (oooh like the person asking for instant level 50s!) and it doesn't even matter if you got banned!

Player x spends 3 hours a day on the game for 6 months, and is a week away from affording the only available house on the market. Player plans to work on craft sales and close the gap as fast as he can within the ToS.

Player y spends 3 hours a day on the game for 6 months, and is a week away from affording the only available house on the market. Player Y is impatient and wants to gurantee rights to said house by buying it now. Player Y breaks ToS and secretly buys gil to close the gap and purchase the house today.

And you need to work on your reading comprehension. Thanks to this lovely little system I got to spend a trivial amount of in-game money (for me) on something that would have otherwise cost me $20.

Yeah, exclusivity doesn't matter... that's why Savage Coil did so well OH **** WAIT IT DIDN'T! I think we should apply this ACROSS THE GAME! Items need some worth (most of it coming from exclusivity), otherwise there is no carrot on the stick.

They did take steps, they asked players to stop doing it. If it was "working as intended" they'd flat out tell people they could do it. The PR disaster and work needed to roll back everyone's accounts (if even possible) would be more work then it is worth.

Whatever it may be doesn't prove your point. You seem to be making the two wrongs make a right arguement. Well, two wrongs don't make a right. Them screwing up once and failing to fix it despite their own acknowledgement it was a mistake does not in any reasonable or logical way support your assertion that its ok to make the same mistake again.

I didn't ask about what they said. I asked what they did. And what they did is tell players that no steps were being taken to change the situation and that no punishments would be issued to anyone who partakes in the system of trading gil for wedding bands.
