    I used to feel this way too but I realized that not having anima just got in the way of doing fun things with people. Really it was just an unnecessary obstacle. I have enough of those in life. Plus, even with anima you still can only teleport to aetherytes and usually there is quite a bit of walking involved anyway. Maybe with the release of chocobos it won't be a problem anyway...

    In FFXI teleportation was one of the main modes of getting from place to place. This meant players had to have WHM in sub, be on WHM main, be in a party with a WHM or /WHM, or shout for a tele wherever they were and paying for it (but there were always a lot of tele taxis about).
    For me personally it wasn't a problem (my main was 85 RDM and I also had 80 WHM by the time I quit), but if I wanted to go somewhere as a different job or sub then it was a little bit of an inconvenience having to run somewhere nearby to the tele point and swapping jobs or subs. I would not be against a similar method in FFXIV though, as this (along with the other means of transporation) to me is a lot more preferable and does not rely on a limited supply of Anima.
    I do think it is a little wrong that anyone can be teleported to a camp even if they haven't previously been there themselves to "attune". (But that's a different matter ^^)

    If they do not put some form of gil paying teleportation (such as outpost warping) and/or teleportation spells to Camp nodes then Anima is a necessary evil. Hopefully once Chocobos and Airships are put in to supplement the way in which we can get around then it won't be so restrictive.

And stop assuming anyone needs to have played the game to actually see that Anima is a ridiculous design flaw. People have looked at this game and thought it was stupid to have such a system. It's not magical, it doesn't even fit with the game in style or storyline, it gives no sense of adventure, no sense of achievement and it's giving teleports for free (might take time to regenerate but it's still something you aren't working for).

    I'm a hardcore gamer myself, I have played many games other than this, including FFXI and I'm not just talking only MMOs. I'm also currently working at a studio making casual games, we tend to get a project done in around 6 months give or take a few months. Nothing on the scale of this game, small games for tablets and smart phones, I've also worked on several average scale RTS games. So it's not like I don't know anything about game mechanics either.

    Anima is bull****, it was a cop-out for not having anything interesting to explore and no means of travelling. When SE add more ways to travel and more zones/changed zones, they will do something about Anima, and it won't be to give you more of it.

    Still, we can only wait and see in the next patch if I'm right, so for now you can presume I'm just lying to you.

    For as little as you have accomplished since January, I'd say that's pretty part-time bud. Or, is it because you have so far to R U N between events?

    sorry to say this dude, but if they were getting rid of anima/doing something about it due to transportations being added

    they wouldnt be adjusting how its used to further convenience players and make the system better


    you dont add something, work a bunch on it, and then take it away, if it was going, theyd have done it long ago working on doing so instead of working on adjusting the system instead witht he things it shoulda had at start

    You still are not making a Valid reason not to have this feature. Everything in the game should be free cause of RMT , that's what it seems like you are saying to me....
