The relic weapon quest is OBSCENELY boring...

How bored the questline is is strictly based on individual playstyle. Anti-social? prefer to solo? ITS GOING TO BE BORING. Love harmless play in the chatbox? prefer playing with others? you are going to have a blast.

Personally i have 3 Zodiac weapons, with a 4th inprogress, all 4 with max Det, take a wild guess how much time i spent earning gil AND materia converting, i have no clue either but i made new friends and reacquainted with some old ones along the way.

When i was doing the Novus to Nexus portion of my NIN Weapon, i ran into someone i hadn't seen since 1.0. It was in Syrcus Tower, guy was like "<Laedrian Kiang>? i dont know a <Laedrian Kiang>, but i know a <Kaedrian Liang>." Then it went on from there.

Stop treating them like quests, they're not. It's going to be an adventure depending on how social you are. I'd write more but, lolcharlimit/postlimit.

And those zodiac relics of yours will soon be ilevel 135 weapons. Well worth the time and effort to me and oddly enough for most in my circles who are working in ATMA, on BOOKS, melding their scrolls, collecting light and more. If it was that boring most of my friends wouldn't be bothering and that simply isn't the case especially after the nerfs. One certainly doesn't need to "speed run" a relic in order to earn one.

I'm personally curious with what some here do with their time that they consider to be not boring. I do lots of things from War and Crafting and Relics and more. It's all part of the game and having more to do makes it that much more fun.
