The relic weapon quest is OBSCENELY boring...

I liked it. Three times over. This is the ONLY grindy thing that exists in this game. Some people actually like that kind of thing. Go get your tomestone, primal, or raid weapon. Leave grinders the single solitary grind we have in this game. And if you think this was the worst grind in any mmo, you haven't played enough mmos

1. Crafting and gathering say hello, and they're both plenty grindy

2. I've seen bigger grinds, but not one that's more BORING because there's literally 0 danger to you while completing these "objectives".

The books may as well be sightseeing brochures of Eorzea, encouraging you to go check everything off the list because that's really all they are: a checklist of mundane shit that couldn't hope to challenge you, haphazardly tossed into the game in an effort to ensure veteran players keep lower level content alive at the expense of their ability to stay awke.
