I was always in favor of an approach where anima charges faster when you have a low amount, and charges slower when your current total was high. A deceleration in the rate of change occurs as you build anima.

I thought it was nice in that you still had a limit on how much you could teleport around but it wouldnt be as bad when you were empty. logging out to go to sleep/work would give you more this way if you used a lot the night before.

How about a nice little gift from Square Enix. "We just refilled everyone's anima! Thanks for being loyal customers!"

    One can only dream.

There is no reason to abolish anything if the problem only persists for a limited time, and affects only a small handful of people currently playing.
Do we know when 1.19 is coming around? What is the reason for not allowing us a ever-reliable means of practical transportation now instead of later? How many is a small handful?

Maybe at least a full recharge every 7 days or so?

You can't take away something that you've added before without a huge QQ-fest. It doesn't work that way.

If they wanted to make a hub-based instance game where you only teleport to the locations directly they should have done that from the beginning. It's an MMO, thus an open world game at core, and that's not going to change. Turning it into a pseudo-online rpg is not going to help anything.

How many people are playing nowadays? Theres your small handful.

There's a lot of things they should have done differently from the beginning. I just don't understand why people would complain about being given the freedom of teleporting where you need to go, when you need to go. Many times I've stood in a group of party members and everyone's like, "OK, how much anima do you have?" or "Who wants to teleport"? That to me says that people are being made to fear what doesn't have to be an issue.

It makes everything outside the hubs meaningless. There is no longer a world; there are only hubs you teleport to.

If you want the ultimately convenient experience, you chose the wrong genre. Go play Diablo, Monster Hunter or Phantasy Star instead. There is nothing more convenient than them. They're also not MMORPG's. They're online RPG's.

Playing in a world that mimics real life means inconveniences. That's the trade-off. You are forced to interact with other people, forced to use means of travel to get where you want to go. That's what makes this world what it is, and Eorzea what it is- or hopes to be. If you don't think not having to interact with anyone or having to travel the world doesn't somehow cheapen the experience, I don't know in what world you're living in.

The society has turned into an individualized one where you can do quite many things without.a need for any human interaction. Are we better off like this? Lets add teleporting to the mix and see what happens to us. I wouldn't like that kind of future, even if it meant ultimate convenience; no need to wait, to socialize, to make bonds.

Which is maybe why, before 1.18 and the Leve fix, nobody lived outside of Ul'dah and Broken Water? That was a smart move, in my opinion. Why not continue this trend?

What trend? Everyone living in a small space, ignoring everything outside it?

You must like living in of the many cities with millions of citizens living in a small space, ignoring everyone except themselves, avoiding interaction with anyone except their friends (friends that they came to know through the interaction the community forced on them; kindergarten, school and work). ATM machines and automatic services that make everything oh so convenient and remove the human aspect completely.

Yes, I'd love for that trend to continue here. Especially when I see how better off this world is because of it.

Now lets introduce teleporting to whereever you want whenever you want and I'm certain that we will be even happier with this added convenience.
