Our "understandings" clearly differ. To me, things like seals, desynth, and glamour fall into the "Greed" category. "Need" only applies to a piece of equipment that is an actual upgrade. Perhaps they should just rename the button from "Need" to "Upgrade." =)You really don't understand the core point of the Need/Greed system. Your need for an ilvl increase does not usurp the need for people's seals, desynth, glamour. I do not want this game making a check of my entire inventory every time i run a dungeon with someone who wants to easiest way to obtain gear.

Okay, well that's nice that you have your own personal definitions of what Need and Greed mean. More power to you. The rest of us will continue to play the game using the rules that the designers intended and implemented.
The entire impetus of this post is that it very much appears the designers' intention is NOT being accomplished by the implementation. They make the Need button available only to people that CAN equip an item. This strongly suggests that they intended the button to be used only when the players WOULD equip the items. Otherwise, the Need button would be made available for the whole party.

Nope. This strongly suggests that they intended the button to be used when the players CAN equip the item. Otherwise, there would be no "Need" button as the greed button is there when you can't equip it.The entire impetus of this post is that it very much appears the designers' intention is NOT being accomplished by the implementation.
