    To be fair I think most people new to BLM, would at first find the concept behind it strange, I know I did anyway.

    I know next to nothing about tank/melee rotations, but I do know my main class fairly well.

    Romsa can not grasp a simple conceptual class and therefore must revaluate his opinion* Don't try to strawman me. To end the utility debate, both classes have pretty sweet utility. The only difference is that BLM is unique in its utility and therefore in my opinion, slightly better because out of my experience, it is therefore the most useful. No one has any superior utility.

    I do grasp the design concept, I said I do not like blm' playstyle, and therefore not an authority on it. Instead of your endgame rotation being around your top spell, Square Enix went with you casting your weakest with hopes of proc'ing a bonus to freely cast your biggest attack. This makes room for an erratic and wide range in spike damage. I am not calling for a blm nerf, but I think blizzard 1/3 spell potency and firestarter proc chance should be lowered.

    That would be directly nerfing BLM though, and in the current environment, probably kill caster in general for a lot of high-end groups. Melee is just too far above casters on average (not including crazy lucky parses or AoE heavy turns) that if anything, buff or nerf, BLM should get buffed (I'm fine with BLM's position personally but do feel useless as we overgear stuff), and SMN, mega-buffed.

    Sooooo....is it wise to put Pie on the relic and crafted gear? I'm going to start fcob soon with an alt and i heard that smn has a lot of MP management issues, so that extra pie should help right? I will lose some crit/det but i suppose that 20 pie points weigh much more that 20 crit/det. Also some suggestions on the pet? I heard that Ifrit is better in fcob but wouldn't that hurt ever more the mana pool?

    @ only 7 MP per Pie you're better off conserving your MP and getting those secondary stats.

    Are you sure about that? To Converse MP that means you will have to deal less damage anyway. Is there any concrete math on how much damage PIE adds vs Det/Crit or SS?

    I would not sacrifice anything else than spell speed for piety. If you manage your mp well, you will probably lose only 5~ overall dps by using some energy drain. Depends on your other team as well. More dps your team do = faster bosses dies = need sacrifice less dps for the energy drain. So summoners get some benefit if bosses die faster. Better you manage your mp less you will lose dps by using energy drain.
