Reading patch note. That buff....
Summoner is 10/10 best job now.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to trash my Summoner relic.

I'm actually curious how much this has changed things.

We now have a Solid Book to use and much lower MP consumption.

Temp Forum Ban - July 7th 2016 *** I promise to never call out scrub players again due to it causing a toxic community
what was the MP cost of Ruin/Ruin II before the patch?
Leaving the amount of MP we spent on ruin pre 2.51, now for every ruin you cast, you are able to regen 7, yes 7, mp per tick for those with no extra piety points. This does extend our staying power but let's be honest, it is not by much more. Nor considers that we have to be in melee range, something blm doesn't have to do but really should or they are not bringing out all their potential, which makes me want to be just below melee class dps levels, with more physical def.
Prepare yourself Square Enix, Ishgard is going to burn in Heavensward.

Alright so. I ran WoD as Summoner just now. I cant tell if the buff helped or not. I use Ifrit for all the bosses and it did seem to help. I had to use less ED than before. I still ran out of mana, but it certainly felt like it lasted longer. I dont know if its my imagination or not. People in my FC says 50 casts save about 1300 mana than before.
It makes a difference, yes. Quite noticable. But it's not enough and I sure as hell hope SE feels the same. Still disgusted by the lack of trying? It's very disappointing. But who knows. Once SMN can actually bring to the table, the same a BLM can do, in one way or another, I'll come back to it.

I'm very disappointed by this buff. But who knows, maybe 3.0 will fix everything. Summoner may even get a complete resign. We'll just have to wait and see.It makes a difference, yes. Quite noticable. Called it, smn is functional with the exception of mp issues (and works well in dps.). I run with a smn on t13 now, he seems quite fine on dps even before the buff. SMN is fine. Not needing selene for good dps is a blessing and a curse at the same time, especially if sch gets nudged out in favor of the new healer. It makes a difference, yes. Quite noticable. So they improve the MP issues. And you complain. That was the biggest issue for SMNs. The DPS is fine, and before you start quoting top end parses remember 3rd party parsers are flawed especially with dots. SE on the other hand has exact numbers. And if you want a carbon copy of aoe, burst, etc go play a BLM. Classes are supposed to be different. I personally believe SMN should have better ST damage, and if its not the expansion is like 8 weeks away.
