Yes and it turns out Joystiq is the only website and source that has stated this, yet they also have no source on that statement. No interview, no quotes, no videos. It's a blanket report.
If you Google it, there's absolutely nothing but speculation.
Oh, really? Go watch the London opening ceremony and tell me that isn't Yoshi-p and his interpreter telling me that Dark Knights aren't relying on Parrying because they have no shields.

Wait, does this mean that a Warrior is also a Parry Tank by that logic?Oh, really? Go watch the London opening ceremony and tell me that isn't Yoshi-p and his interpreter telling me that Dark Knights aren't relying on Parrying because they have no shields.

He specifically said "What that would mean is rather than blocking with a shield, as you don't have a shield, it'll be more parrying and dodging". This is, mechanically, is how the Warrior Works. The Paladin's Mitigation comes from HP, Blocks, Parrys and Evasion, Warrior is HP, Parry and Evasion.

It is possible Yoshi-P may be talking about the DK Tank Stance may increase DK's chances of Parry and evade chance (while maybe making it possible to parry and evade attacks that Warrior and Paladin can't Parry and evade) as part of their Tank Stance effects compared to Warrior's Tank Stance with increase HP and Healing and Paladin's Tank Stance with Damage mitigation.Wait, does this mean that a Warrior is also a Parry Tank by that logic?

Warriors do parry but their Tank Stance focus more on being HP sponges and Paladin focus more on reducing direct damage.
Though if ture, I wonder how they may balance DK tank stance if they make DK Tank stance give them the ability to parry and Evade attacks Paladins and Warrior can not parry and Evade.

Just because a Warrior uses these things does not mean that the Dark Knight will not. I see you mentioning parrying and evasion in both Paladin and Warrior.Wait, does this mean that a Warrior is also a Parry Tank by that logic?

But I would point to this: Why mention these things if they were not important highlights? He's saying these things to bring it to your attention. This is why the media outlets are quoting Yoshi-P, saying it focuses on parrying and evasion.
I've given my sources. Interpret it how you like.
As we know Warrior is HP and Parry. PLD is Block and Parry. I totally seen DRK being Parry and evasive. NIN can force ALL Physical attacks to miss no matter the Boss. Now if dark had a move to force a miss or even reduces the accuracy attack it can be an evasion tank. Magic attacks can been missed. The sprites miss attacks on me all the time on my WAR when I travel the world. So SE can make it work. Blind reduces the accuracy of bosses but it works for like 10% of end game bosses. There is another way with accuracy down. The dodo's at ale port can inflict this on you. It is crossheir marker in red and it says accuracy reduce. Maybe dark knight will have something like thatWait, does this mean that a Warrior is also a Parry Tank by that logic?
