Hunt Griefing: Solution to Community Woes?

I will say this. The first time around with Oils/Sands I could see the irritation. Hell, I had missed a few hunts from time to time. Maybe my server as a whole was really good but I would say I made it to, and got full credit for, 98% of all hunts I participated in. When I did miss I went, "Oh that sucks." and then I moved on with my life.

This second time around, same deal. I lose some and win some. I am getting increasingly perturbed this second time around though, after literally every single hunt, especially during primetime, where there are a handful of people crying in shout about "early pullers." What does that even mean? Seriously, what does that mean. If you weren't at the hunt to begin you simply cannot claim anything about early pulling. You can't. It's illegitimate. Unless someone found the hunt, called it out, and then told you specifically it is not being pulled until X time, early pulling is not even a thing. You need to be honest with yourself. You're only crying foul because you didn't get there. You're placing blame on someone else because you missed out. Maybe it's not your fault you missed it but that doesn't mean it's someone else's. Maybe it just wasn't meant to be! On my server we had a great community. At a large portion of the hunts the first time around people were calling out, "Pulling at this time XXX" and you know what still happened? People still showed up long after it was killed crying foul. No. No you were late. Deal with it.

Believe me when I say I understand the feeling you get when you miss one. I've missed several in a row before. I just do not understand the mentality that people get though. Exactly what does shouting "God damn early pullers!" accomplish? Furthermore, what gives anyone the right to belittle anyone else because they didn't get credit? Maybe your set-up makes you gimped and you can't even get to hunts in time because you can't teleport in. That's not entirely your fault and I get that. How long is everyone expected to wait? And at what point do you decide enough waiting has passed? When YOU get there? What about the people who are still coming after you? Why is it so hard to just move on with life? Seriously. It's pretty immature to sit there and cry at every single hunt that you miss. You're not going to miss them all and you're not going to get them all. You'll get it. Just be patient.

I'm sure SE could do something to help ease the pain of some people but part of the relief needs to be on the player as well. I've never "early pulled" or even griefed other players over any of this. I just don't understand the mentality of "I missed a hunt. Time to get in shout chat and bitch to everyone that they suck." Settle down.
