How many people actually rage about EP's if they manage to tag it and get full credit? Some food for thought.

To my point, the more people rewarded for their efforts, the broader the network. I've seen hunters simply give up in disgust because they weren't able to make it in time thanks to people griefing. Less hunters, less call-outs.

I've (almost) never seen any rage or negativity about it on Coeurl, either. People who find hunt marks generally wait long enough for a bunch of people to arrive. If someone arrives late, they might express disappointment, but none of this rage and blame we see in the forums. The only time I did see somebody start angrily berating another player about what he decided to call an "early pull" (despite the huge crowd of other players who had all managed to get there in plenty of time), the rest of the players around were only mad at the obnoxious guy doing the complaining.

As far as I can see, the only thing that legitimately qualifies as an "early pull" is if somebody pulls the mark before there are enough players there to kill it. If that happens, they're going to die anyway, so the game takes care of punishing them for it. I once pulled a hunt mark earlier than intended (an accidental face pull when I misjudged his aggro range), but enough people had gathered for the fight that ensued to be successful, so that was considered good enough. A few people missed it, including a couple of my own party members, but the overall attitude was just "Oh well, shit happens. Where's the next one?"

It's just not something worth raging about if you miss a hunt. There are plenty of others. (Which is the main reason I don't like any of the suggestions in this thread that want to limit the availability of hunts in various ways. If there wasn't always another one to go do, then people might indeed start caring when they missed one, and even the servers which are quite civil about it now might start seeing the kind of rage the OP demonstrates.)

Hunting is quite toxic on Moogle right now, though it has died down a bit, there was a lot of naming and shaming going on, whoever pulled had their name shouted and plastered in all my hunting linkshells and I had to tell people that doing it on my one was not allowed (I own one of my hunting LS's) Its still bad, even when its called, you are very likely not to make it, people have gotten really impatient lately due to the increase in rewards. The hunt isn't going anywhere so where's the fire? The only time this happened before was when 2 hunts where found at one time and people rush killed one to get to the other.

My solution was just to stop hunting for a while so I can avoid all of this, yeah I miss out on getting a few things but I don't mind, hunts are constantly active and the rewards are always there, I can take my time.

Hunts are fine as they are.
The feeling entitlement of "I deserve all the seals from every single hunt that spawns in every zone while I'm active" needs to go to.

If you or someone shouts it, expect someone to early pull it.
If someone notifies the linkshell about it, expect someone in the linkshell or a person following the horde to early pull it.
If the linkshell finds it and you're not in it, expect to not hear someone actually shout until it's too late.
If two A's are found simultaneously, expect one to be dead.
If an S is found while you're battling an A, expect the S to be dead.
If you find it, do whatever you want with it.

If you're not in that zone when the A or S monster spawns, any seals you do get should be considered a bonus.

I'm sick and tired of all the people whining about not getting their seals.

There seems to be some issues with reading comprehension in this thread: this is not about the rewards, it's about the griefing that goes on because players know they can get away with it. They will have a laugh at the expense of other hunters and create drama in shout because there is no downside to pulling on arrival. The difficulty of hunts are non-existent so I'm asking for a beefier fight, one worthy of being called an NM.

Which, the main issue is stemmed by people complaining about not getting their seals.

I'm getting sick of hunts too. I can't count how many a times when I run after a hunt the second I hear about it just to find it dead already. It's really annoying and i've given hope of ever participating in hunt without being disappointed.

So I've refrained form doing hunts all together.

Exactly the type of experience I'm trying to correct with suggestions. You're not alone so clearly some changes are needed.

I agree. Some changes need to be made.

First, people should quit shouting about a hunt being up. You are in a hunt party. Just get your party together and kill it. Period - end of story. Linkshells that are community and friendly and with everyone cooperating with each other are an exception, but even then I am borderline because I am in 3 hunt linkshells. I ONLY make call-outs to one, but it never fails that when I do, someone always spams the other linkshells with the call-outs. There is where the problem lies.

Hunt does not = server raid. A hunt is a hunt, and if the hunting party finds a mark and is confident they can kill it, but still shouts or announces in linkshells or any other channels, then that party is being VERY VERY courteous and VERY VERY nice to everyone else around them, and instead of getting yelled at for this "early pull" bullshit, they should be THANKED for at least giving others in the area a chance to join in the fun.

Therefore, the only TRUE griefing going on anywhere around here are the entitled, spoiled little brats who think they are entitled to everything they see in shout or their linkshell.

I used to at least do call-outs to my linkshell, but after reading this thread and the attitudes towards people like me who do any call-outs at all, well, I'm done. From here on out if my group finds a mark, I won't be one of the ones calling out, and I'll encourage others in the group not to, either. We can take down an A mark ourselves. Allowing others to join int he fun after we found the mark was a courtesy, and one that is apparently and clearly being abused.
