These types of players won't try coil without nerfs or easy story modes. Why?, maybe they got family and a real life. We'll never know. Well...I don't mind an easy/story mode coil, who's it hurting. No one. And its kinda silly to withhold story and lore has a Reward in a RPG, in fights many players never get to try. You do get gear as a Reward right??? Why isn't that good enough for you?? when we get Alex the old coil will left in the dust forgotten, why not share the story then?
If anyone's missing the point, it is you.

In video games, the cutscenes and content aren't two discrete elements separated by a wall; the cutscene is an extension of the content. They reinforce each other. You have a stake in the cutscene because you were responsible for it. For this reason, the cutscenes are as much a reward for clearing the content as the loot. Watching a video of the cutscene (like others suggest) robs you of the satisfaction of earning it in the same way as giving away loot.

Loot will come and go, but you will remember well-fought victories with your friends. I still vividly remember clearing CoP 6-4 and that was almost a decade ago.
