Housing Ideas and Feature Requests

There are no plans to add a market board as a housing item at the moment. Doing so would serve to further increase the load on the housing areas. Since market boards are already available in the housing areas, they would like players to utilize these instead.

I fail to see how this would increase the load on the housing areas. all it would do is add another node for us to access the market board honestly. you're not going to get more people because there are more market boards. no offence but this excuse seems rather silly to me.

I would rather the devs just say "we don't want to do that right now, we will explain later"

To allow the feed of market board information to every single house would blow the servers up lol. Whether or not you have access is not the point because that only allows you to toggle the interface to see the MB... the information is being streamed regardless. Also you completely defeat the purpose of having a neighborhood if you didn't need to go outside which they obviously don't want to do because housing is not designed around a you and only you instance.

So part of it is yes, it would increase the server load but the other part is yes, they don't want to do this because it goes against the purpose of what they've designed so far.

Ok, so you have the regular Armoire, which stores rare/unique stuff on a limited list, but it has a max that is basically already filled. But then you have this tall closet thing like a Serpent Armoire, right? and it just sits there, doing nothing.

But what if it had a very specific use, like the Armoire, but instead of storing things like a Luminary Pickaxe or Class Ring, it stored Company and Wolf Gear? Things like Direwolf Robes, Serpent Elite's Knives, and so forth, with the same Restrictions against dyes, spirit bonding, and repairs for Armoire being in place, to conserve memory?

People with Houses are always looking for more Closet Space.

Simple:

Some mid sized and big sized houses you simply can't get to the roof of them. I want higher and more stair options so we can get to the roof of any house. The only stair that exists now is only high enough to get you to the top of the Chocobo Stable.

There are many options! Things like spiral staircases, etc etc.

This is a wonderful thread, everyone here some awesome ideas and I hope SE is very much alert to its contents!

That said, I add my point every so often so its not too buried.

They have one of the best designs for housing with dimensions,by far the most customization and especially creative thinking. With ffxiv superior graphics , housing could be outstanding with Rifts core design.

I would love to have 100% freedom to actually create something unique from nothing and the ability to add/control/manipulate and create anything I can imagine!!

Please rethink housing..it could be soooooo much more engaging and satisfying

I was able to get some responses to a few requests, and I would like to relay that information to you all.

The aesthetician bell is planned to be released in the future; however, there is no exact time frame on this.

Fish tanks have been requested for some time now and rest assured that the dev. team is looking into it, but they have no updates to share at the moment.

As always, keep the feedback coming and I’ll keep talking with the devs!

How are your servers this bad? It should not be any more server stress to make an NPC that redirects it's purpose to an existing NPC. It would be like talking to it from a range.

Does make me wonder what makes adding the aesthetician bell so complicated. I mean it's already in the game, the item and the function both. So...? No, really, simply curious.

The bell in the inn is "safe" as noone but yourself can access the same instance as you, so there is no chance of someone interacting with you while you are occupied with the aesthetician... however, in a FC house, there are people running past you, poking you etc.. so they probably needed to change the coding somewhat to ensure your character wont bug out while stuck in the aesthetician interface.

Can we have a garden storage where we can store all the soils and seeds? ^^

THIS... and being able to click on the garden patch and "Tend All"..... gets really tedious having to tend/fertilise every plant individually
