I was less addressing the OP and more addressing the notion that this "speculation" that's being thrown around by this thread and the other thread is loosely based on some kind of tip. I could be mistaken though and misunderstanding what everyone is talking about though.
All the people who voted for this isn't being reasonable and aren't really thinking about the broader picture. Plus I pretty sure this is set in stone this isn't something they are probably willing to change no matter how many people vote for it. Why? To add some balance in the game so everyone can't accomplish everything and makes you rely on the community to get what you need. They have to set some type of limitations and this area makes the most sense especially if they are ever going to make gil actually useful for something. In the current game everyone has millions of gil and nothing to do with other than repair their armor.
basically in an interview a very shady response said there is gonna be 1 mastery per craft. thats all we know.
thats were all this speculation came from. Its not unthinkable that this wouldnt be in their minds for the very far future.
Now the loosing side is making facts of pure speculation.
/popcorn!
damn gotta get ready for work,
cheers everyone
What SE intends to do is completely irrelevant to the poll. The opinion being discussed is would you prefer Optimizing one class or every class. Despite the fact that SE has not said they would do this or how they would do it does not invalidate the discussion. It saddens me that people are actually voting on this without any information. Really, people? Really? Do you have the thought capacity of squirrels? I just looked at the numbers....33 for and 47 against. You are horrible people, and you should feel horrible. That goes for anyone who voted in this farce.
I have never said the *discussion* was invalid. I said the poll was because in order to like or dislike something you have to at least have a very basic foundation of fact. There are no facts to base a poll on.
The main problem I see with this poll is that "mastery" can have many different meanings. To one person mastery might mean having only one class at rank 75 while all others remain at 50. To another person it could mean having all classes at rank 75 with one class receiving a bonus to all attempted crafts. To yet another person it could mean having all classes at 75 but one class has access to extra craft-able items. All of those scenarios are different and the same person might vote yes or no differently on each (especially the second compared to the first/third).
Also it doesn't look like many people are listing pros or cons for either side. Pretty much all I see is people want to be self sufficient and not pay extra cash on one side vs. char uniqueness on the other side. (I'm assuming all of these people are referring to the first example I gave of mastery).
Overall I'd probably be for having a mastery system where you get 1 class above the rest/have unique crafted items. Not only does it give your character some uniqueness but it slows down flooding of the market. As the game ages if everyone has access to every crafting class slowly more and more people will start maxing them out and as they max them out the market is going to become flooded because all characters will be able to make all items. If your limited to one maxed craft(even if you can make additional characters) there is going to be far less people with that rank 75 blacksmith making high ranked armor so it will be a better commodity not only for the crafter but the person buying as well(since the item is more unique). There is also the social aspect of it in that if your only allowed one craft at max you would have to seek out people to repair your gear but really I'm not in favor of it for that and if they would do it like this I would like to see repairs all happen at the minor cap for crafts not the mastery cap.
As for the problem of people focusing on blacksmith because it has the best $$$ that would happen anyway since players can choose to rank blacksmith first and/or focus more on blacksmith since it has the best money making opportunities. But the way it should work would be if lots of players are ranking up blacksmith the value of that item is going to go down cause of the market being flooded where the value of the culinary food items will go up because of it being more rare meaning more people will be interested in going into cooking (and it will go back and forth like that until it balances somewhere with supply/demand)(Also this should also happen if you can rank everything up it's just a problem with the community if it's not).
I'm not sure what you are talking about. All he is asking is would you prefer this or that? It's like saying I can't ask you if you like cheese on your burgers because, even though I hinted at the possibility of making them for dinner tonight, I have yet to produce said tasty burgers. So what? We can still talk about it. What's the big deal?
yeah, i'm glad the people who want multiple are in the lead and the truth is prevailing. seems both this one and the other one by dno have the same result as in the majority want to be able to level multiple classes to max.

Sure I do. What do I have to do to get them? Are you handing them out for free or what?like here if you want multiple mastered crafting classes per char.
The wording in this poll is just as stupid as in the other one...
