Also the fact that this game's difference between casual and hardcore difficulty is starting to become very blurred. SE is trying to make some kind of leveled ground with their heavy rng loot system. It forces ppl to play the instance over and over and over again if they ever want a chance at the loot but as days go by, the average skill level of ppl slowly climb. Which means ppl will be able to faceroll that content even faster because they r familiar with it. But that doesn't mean they r assured the drop. So technically in return for grinding ur eyes out, u become more skilled at that content to a point where u act like it's so easy. But again this doesn't mean u get ur dream loot for ur efforts. Yoshi is trying to make content last but the way he makes gear obtained defeats the purpose.

Because RNG also means that sometimes you'll get the drop you want on your first run.

No one ever complains when RNG gives them the loot they want on their very first try.

The arguments here seen to be that RNG is fair since it gives everyone the same chance. Yet it doesn't mean that everyone will get their loot, even if they complete the content numerous times. Lottery is also fair. It gives everyone the same chance of winning. Yet most of us never will, simply due to the whims of luck.

Token system for dungeon gear in addition to loot would also award effort with a chance to turn in the gear you want if you end up doing 20+ runs without the drop. Why not bring it? Mostly because people want to keep their illusion of prestige, having a "rare" drop that is mostly locked out due to RNG.

I don't think the two drops per chest would work too good. Granted there are seven other folks in your group so it would help all in term of getting drops, however what happens when it becomes a free for all. Those blessed by RNGesus would be need/greeding all the things.

Token system I think is a hard thing to make work. If you drop a gear piece and a token, how many tokens would be needed to get a piece that you desire? 1,7,20? Would they drop from each boss chest or just CoD? OR....make it part of the rare extra chest the drops from CoD that all 24 participants can roll on, then it could only be one needed. Can just feel the satisfaction!

No it wouldn't. It rewards laziness because some people just want everything now without having to really work for it. Token systems take out real goals and real loot from the experience of running raids and dungeons. Most of the game is like that anyway with tokens. The loot chests are boring and drop mostly junk you don't need. WoD is fun because people need the stuff there so you are fighting hoping to see that big drop and when it does it's an awesome feeling.

People like you who just want everything now would happily ruin that as long as you get what you want it doesn't matter how everyone else enjoys the game. "Illusion of rarity" lol. If people wanted that they would be farming coils for the top tier gear in there. WoD gear is just an option for people who don't want to or can't farm coils for upgrades and gear. Honestly it's people with your attitude who are the ones who drop out a run when they don't see the drop they want on the boss and even if they do they got their gear and drop out. It ruins the fun and it's just greed and childishness.

I will say it is annoying to go through several runs and seeing only Maiming and Fending gear every single time. Sometimes the exact same loot from the same boss two or three times in a row! (Maiming glove or shoes whyyyy) It's pretty frustrating. I like the World of Darkness and I always complete my runs and eventually get my loot but I've never really liked spamming things dozens of times just to get a single item. I remember doing T1 about 70 times to get a casting ring because it dropped maybe twice out of those 70 runs and the other time I saw it, someone else rolled on it and won. Doing Syrcus Tower for Scylla gear one week was a nightmare... about 30 or 40 runs with nearly no healer drops, eventually I just gave up and ended up deciding to get the soldiery piece instead with tomes the following week because it was taking way too long to even see my drop in ST.

How would it promote laziness? If it required a significant amount of WoD exclusive "tokens", 25 for example, awarded 1 for each completion, that's hardly "lazy". It would just be there to make sure no one gets the REALLY short end with the stick. And that's not just WoD, there have even been extreme cases with ppl doing T13 60+ times without a drop of their choice.

I try to make a point clear, and you attack my persona. Just wow. Fyi I'm the type of a person who runs low-roulette with the new tanks and dps when everyone else quits. I help out people grasp T9 even if they clearly are light years away from completing it. I don't look down on people for their opinions. I farm for stuff just like the next guy and don't have the habit of leaving runs even if I don't get my stuff of choice. Don't go making baseless assumptions when you don't actually know me.

If this is the general attitude on the thread, I'll just stop posting here with my inferior opinions.

Farm for 3 days and get enough tokens to get all the gear then never need to do it again. Unless they had a token cap like poetics but then you'd probably be here complaining about that too. Loot being random has been part of MMO's for a long time i don't get why now you need everything handed to you on a plate. Actually why not just farm poetics and pick and choose the gear you need? "But oh Moondoggie that chest/hat/gloves/whatever is the best in slot for my class without upgrades that i can't get in coil" well then work for it if you need one specific piece. Wouldn't that be nice when you have been trying for ages to get something then you finally get it? Fruits of all your struggles? No? If i went 60 runs with no drop of something then finally got it I'd be stoked about that all day. That's how it used to be but somehow it changed and everyone needs to complete everything and get all the gear in a month or they don't like it.

4 Bosses, 42 items. = 11 and 12 items per boss. We have seen this before from other games. However those games have always dropped multiple items in the loot pool at once.

There are multiple obvious solutions to the current issue.

    1) Drop 6 items that can be rolled on by the ENTIRE 24 person alliance per encounter with duplicates .

    2) Drop 2 items per encounter that can not be duplicates.

    3) Add at LEAST 2 more encounters to split the possible drops across more encounters.

Personally I would do both 2 and 3.

Either way, I understand why the way things are the way they are. It is to artificially elongate the content. However, this is going to far. When DPS classes can share priority AND the game can place 3 and 4 of the same job in the same party there is an issue when the loot pools are this extremely deep.

I feel for those people who never saw their loot from t5/9/13, I am one of them. However, if you look at the loot pool from 13 it is extremely small compared to 5 and 9. That is there for a reason. YoshiP&Co. saw there was an issue and made attempts to remedy it. Now we need them to see the inherent problem with WoD loot and remedy it as well. Preferably before WoD is dead content.
