WoD Loot Needs Fixing

Well RNG can be a b*tch XD
50+ Ramuh EX kills on a healer class seen Healring drop 3 times and got it that 3rd time only because my friend (a dragoon - not too xp on healclass/no swiftcast or stoneskin) co healed and i got the drop on a epic roll of 6!
And talking bout it Acotyltes Skirt... I play since beta Have all classes level 50 I actually dont wanna know how often i really ran Satsasha/Copperbell Mines/Toto Rak I saw the fricking Skirt drop 1,5 month ago (luckyly friends passed it for me <3) and I even had tried a few weeks to "farm" it... well by then had gotten me cashmere skirt of healing but never ever ever ever id dare to discard that Skirt now XD

Just dont fixate on 1 drop and keep enjoying RNG ^-^

Drops aren't all that bad, not if you lvl up all your jobs, some you will like more than others but the more you do lvl up the more chances you have of equally gearing your character.

I only need to lvl SCH and SMN, well, DRG is 48 but that's like 2 hours of dungeons. When I go to CT, ST or WoD I always think I will go for the drop I really want in the first 5 runs. If i don't get it then I simply go for the next chest or legs piece for another job that i don't already have.

Let's say I have no demon items yet and just about to run WoD for the first time. I have a 1/4 chance NEEDing on an item as a DPS, a 1/2 chance of NEEDing on a healer item and 100% chance of getting a tank piece. That's just on the first boss, on the second, assuming i lose out on a roll against someone then my chances increase somewhat.

I could go on an list all of the possibilities but my point is that if you're going to be fussy about what you get as a drop then you can't really complain about the system being unfair. It's completely fair.

As people have mentioned before, there are token alternatives and these go in the form of either primals, crafted, hunt marks or tomestones. all of these will provide you with gear that is on par with ST gear, if not better. you just have to be willing to put the effort into making your character strong than just a 1-job wonder.

I really want the dragoon chest this week but if it doesn't drop by Monday I have everything at 50 and smn/blm are the only jobs in full i120 so I can just grab something and it will be a nice upgrade.

Honestly in 3.0 they should just drop this whole rng nonsense and think of a better loot system in general.

We only tell ourselves it was worth it when we get the drop as we refuse to be told otherwise.

Loot lock out on top of rng for some classes that share roles
( I.e healers and tanks ) pretty much makes you wonder why se has to go to such great lengths to bait ppl into the good ol carrot on the stick / treadmill game.

I think the main problem they are facing at the moment is that there's a large amount of hardcore players that can easily complete all the content that SE have made.
Over the next few years however they will be adding so much more content that it's going to be difficult for all but a select few hardcore gamers to manage to keep on top of everything so that drops/rewards will seem more fair the longer the game is out.

I don't think the loot system is as bad as some people make it out to be unless you obsess about the need of having to have the best stuff rather than enjoying the game and reaping the rewards as a bonus.

We complained out of our asses when the relic quest could be done within a couple of days or hours or whatever, then they changed it to be the opposite and it's put people off because it takes too much time or is repetitive.
Obviously things need to be balanced so that gear is rewarding but not too repetitive and difficult to get but I think it will iron itself out in the long run.

Just did a WoD run.... 1 BRD drop and 4... yes FOUR, Tank drops... and there can only be maximum of 3 Tanks rolling!! ):<

I've run WoD about 30 times last week and 6 times this week so far and theres been only about 4 tank drops :/

It took a combined 99 attempts before I saw a t5/t9/t13 weapon for my WHM. Never saw it in 50+ t5 kills, 30+ t9 kills and not until the 9th t13 kill.

I'm laughing that people are mad at not seeing the drop they want on the 20th try.
