What they need to add is an group of options in settings that can say the following: Automatic loot roll on need, check to turn on; automatic pass on items that you don't need, check to turn on(which when on, you can't roll greed on anything). That way, makes rolling quicker for some while giving others the freedom to decide what they want to roll on. And of course this feature will not work on loot lockouts

Like I said, its casual MMO, so why rush?
Except in dungeons there are NO loot lockouts and you can hit need on everything you can need, hit greed on everything you can greed. There is absolutely no need to twiddle your thumbs to decide what you're gonna roll on because there's nothing worthwhile in there that isn't trade-able to your friends. I run dungeons as a tank these days and regardless of the number of mobs I pull, I'm always either moving or pressing buttons and I can roll on these things just fine without the latter option I mentioned because there's auto run. It's what auto run is for: be on the move while you do something else. So mulling on what to roll on dungeon loot is irrelevant and primal/coil ends as soon as you win one fight. Literally only the 24 man raid line has this 'issue' and 5 minutes is way more than enough period.

It's an mmo with multiple demographics, so why force your casual playstyle on others?

Wait let me get this straight. You don't want the loot but are happy to make someone who wants the loot wait 5min to get it?
Well I am sorry that you were locked out. Maybe next time you wont make everyone wait just for you.

It's because the only valid reasons for not rolling is pure laziness
Uhh, nope. Occasional lack of awareness =/= laziness.

So what you're saying is, you look up the loot list, you find the item you want and what boss it drops from and you want to just do the raid and let ALL the loot timer from all bosses to run out and not give you the loot except for the boss you're aiming for? You want to make everyone else who are aiming for other bosses to wait for your timer to run out? That sounds selfish to me.
You act like everyone who does this does this on purpose. I assure you that's not the case.

And no, I've never had any unwanted loot drop into my inventory in any of the ct/st runs. Cause between running to the next destination with my controller and waiting for the raid to initiate the next fight, I have plenty of time. Move your notification window to somewhere in the middle if it's so hard to see.
I don't wish to do this because sometimes I want to leave a "notification" there on purpose (such as a teleport) and I don't want it obstructing my view in the meantime.

Actually Gardes, lets get somethings straight. #1 I never said I was a casual gamer, but i guess if you are not hardcore, then you must be casual, no in between, right? #2 I never even said to force a casual style on anyone, i merely stated that this IS a casual MMO compared to what many, probably even you, have stated when comparing this MMO to others like WoW, etc. #3 I'm tired of people that play this game in this community always putting people down for not being what they think an "MMO" player should be. This game has something for everybody, but its ok for you and other "elitist" to criticize new players or "casual" players for complaining about something in game, as though you have to be some certain lvl of gamer to even think about criticizing a game. How about more elitist listen to the casuals and maybe try to be mentors instead of YOU all trying to force YOUR ideas on how this game and game genre should be played.

    Shots fired

We ain't forcing anything on anyone - we just saying things are working as intended - and it works fine the way it is and we would like it to not change.

Now Chihaya, I believe you when you say that. But thats not always the case. And even so, thats no different than most of the changes that were made to this game because people complained while others might have said that things are ok as they are. And just because things work fine doesnt mean they cant be improved. Improvements are made everyday on lots of different things in our world. If we just said "hey, it works, why change it?" there would be alot of things we wouldn't have today. And just to put it in perspective, we were all like the OP months ago asking for changes months ago whether they were necessary or just QoL changes. Thats how this community helps to improve the game.

You think people ending up with loot they didn't intend to obtain in a situation where you can only get one thing per week and you're therefore meant to carefully choose what you want to obtain is "working as intended"

    okay

The actual issue there was that if 7/8 people left right away after the boss, the item would drop to the remaining one person immediately if they hadn't passed.

There's a big difference between that and having 5 minutes to lot/pass.

I'm not buying your lack of awareness excuse. Loot drops after bosses die. Everyone knows this that will be running WoD. Thus, you are aware that loot will be dropping. Because loot only drops after a boss dies, there is nothing in the raid itself that could possibly be distracting you from noticing that loot is there to be needed/greeded/passed on. You're not "busy paying attention to the raid". You are simply not paying attention. Could be chatting, could be afk, your house could be on fire. You are there to raid, not to chat. It takes 2 seconds to lot before you afk. If your house is on fire, the loot lockout is likely not really a concern anymore.
