Loot Auto-drop in WoD? Please fix ASAP

I'm GLAD this will be happening. Its annoying when people sit around and don't roll.

Too bad it doesn't even solve the problem, because even when you've already gotten your weekly loot, you can still hold up the line by not passing. (At least, this is how LotA and ST worked)

How is that not the issue? The issue is getting locked out on loot because you aren't capable of noticing you are fighting a boss, killing a boss, then receiving loot from said boss. It's no different than doing a dungeon or another raid zone that contains multiple bosses that drop loot.

Not always staying on top of the loot pool =/= not knowing what fights will drop loot. They're two separate issues, we're talking about A, you're complaining about B.

Yes, I've been that person before. Because I afked, and because I was more bothered about looking at other things during that time. And you know what? I deserved to get given the useless piece of gear I was too distracted not to see was being rolled on for an entire five minutes. So I didn't complain because I should have been paying more attention. As others should.

Well, I don't agree that's how it should work (and neither do many others, which is why they changed it eventually). Just because you accepted flawed game design based on arbitrary loot rules for this one specific series of raids, it doesn't mean we all have to.

Here's the thing, though. If you're running a raid for loot, chances are you're going to know when the loot drops and whether or not to need/greed/pass on said loot when the loot roll happens.

Five minutes is at least 60 times longer than I need and should be more than enough time for even the player with the slowest reaction times to make their roll.

And the worst punishment of not doing it? You get a piece of loot and you can't get another piece from that same loot table for a week. It's not like you're getting banned or kicked for it.

And to be honest, one of my biggest pet peeves in this game is when people just don't roll on loot at all. Because then I have to wait the full five minutes if it's an item I've needed/greeded on in order to see if I actually get it, and that is so annoying to deal with.

Here's a big thing for me personally: In an earlier run of ST I was vote kicked from a party after the loot from Amon dropped and before the final boss was engaged. I was vote kicked because another DRG in the party was also after the body drop. After that happened to me, I stopped passing on loot until the group started the next boss just to be sure it wouldn't happen to me again, and once the next fight starts it's easy to forget to pass. I know I'm not the only one this has happened to either.

It's a QoL change. You can say all you want about people having time to pass or lot, but thing happen or people have their reasons.

Bottom line - making it so that loot that is NOT rolled on falls to the floor instead of automatically going to someone hurts no one and has the potential to saved someone from a wasted week.

Like Gokuhan I too wait to the last minute to pass cause a FC who entered together decided to be douche bags one time. AFAIK not rolling prevents from being unfairly booted. (And to anyone that's wondering I don't do this after the last boss. That too is douchy.)

Seriously, you guys have never encountered this at all in your entire time playing? Do you think that any time a piece of loot fails to drop immediately, it's because someone is intentionally trolling you rather than just honestly forgetting to lot/pass? You've never been that guy?

I've never been that guy. the "loot button" pops up just above my health bar at the lower middle area of my screen, I immediately click it and roll as desired on the piece.

Only time this ever happened to me was in the first CT when I wasn't paying attention and wound up with the mnk boots. Totally my fault since I didn't bother to click pass. People should learn to walk on their own and not have their hands held the whole time because in all honesty this upset is quite laughable. People who say "Well what if it's the final boss and everyone before I get out of the CS."
First off that CS where it shows your group doing a pose or what ever is now 100% skippable and has been for awhile now. Second off I don't even think the ps3 is that slow to load so if this is happening you might want to stop using that toaster and either upgrade your pc, or get the ps3/ps4 version.

The PS3 is very slow to load, and in 24-man raids they are much worse. And while it may be skippable, people shouldn't have to rush out of CS just to avoid getting stuck with loot.

I don't really understand the hatred people have for this topic. Too many seem to have "this is how it is so deal with it" attitude. You people should be reminded that this game and it's systems were practically rebuilt from the ground up because the way it was made simply wasn't good enough. Improvements are meant to be made.

It's a simple design choice that makes perfect sense: for someone to obtain loot that would put them on lockout an intentional act should be required, period.

It's because the only valid reasons for not rolling is pure laziness nothing else refusing to roll because there are a select few assholes in the game? I don't buy that because they are few an far between. I have never seen it happen, I aren't saying it doesn't happen, but it's rare enough that most players don't have to risk getting trash they don't want.

It takes 2 clicks do as most do and pass/lot as soon as it drops and you have no problem, I for one have never been lumbered with something I don't want in CT because I have the common sense to do something to stop it happening.

You intentionally refuse to lot, knowing there is a chance of everyone else passing and it free dropping to you, that's your "intentional act" you choose not to lot/go afk in boss fights etc therefore it's your fault.
