As the person who originally took and posted the screenshot... Yeah. They must have. Because nowhere does that image appear without a concise description of just what's happening.

Additionally; photoshopped images are disallowed by the contest rules, so even if this is not removed for being distasteful, it's a disqualifying image.

Can you provide the link of where you uploaded that screenshot? I think it would be helpful if people could see your original in case all of this is true.

Square Enix wouldn't photoshop an image like this to promote a screenshot contest when they have the capability to make screenshots like this without photo editing tools in-house.

The entry cheated, but I'm leery of what or what does not look like willful intention to use a sigil or cheat. Until known, people.. wouldn't it be best not to burn them at the stake?

The back drop photo is nice looking, if I knew no better and thought I could photoshop I might have used it too. Clearly something should be done about posting it as a winning entry when it didn't follow the rules, but the creators intent is not known.... However, it seems everyone would be happy to hang them anyways.

To be clear, when you enter a contest I believe you should read the rules, so I do believe something about that should be done (disqualified immediately) - but as everyone here is well aware "reading instructions" is a common failure on the average person's part.

They have not even announced it yet they may be preliminary uploading it and may have selected a few they did not intend or are missing a few.
Also the album looks large enough that it might be EU and US combined. Or possibly all of them combined. So just wait before getting all whiteknighting over things.

edit: they removed it. still extremely distasteful though, it shows how the people who do these contests have a great lack of judgement....

it's such a shame that they can't follow their own guidelines and rules from the start. :/ Why would they expect anyone else to follow it..?
