

They probably found it on Google Image search. At least that's what I'd like to think, I'd rather not think that someone intentionally used the picture to win a contest.As the person who originally took and posted the screenshot... Yeah. They must have. Because nowhere does that image appear without a concise description of just what's happening.
Additionally; photoshopped images are disallowed by the contest rules, so even if this is not removed for being distasteful, it's a disqualifying image.

While I agree in principle (image search happens), that's not a meaningful excuse for any part of this. There are at least two contest rules being broken by the image (no photoshopping, original captures only) to disqualify it - on top of the moral objections anyone might have to using this vigil for personal gain.
