Don't see anything in the patch notes. Anything else?

-Open up patch notes-
-See "Battle Notes"-
-Scroll down, hoping to see a minor SMN tweak-
-Nothing-
Hopefully the full patch notes has something small.
Imagine a huge Titan summon. I'll be like Titan, I don't like this person you know what to do. Walks up to the poor fellow and uses Right hook, left hook, thumult, landslide and Mountain buster!!!!!!
out of all seriousness though summoners might get an overhaul/balanced when 3.0 launches.
Spell speed might affect dots ticks
A crit fester can grants a stack of Aether flow
No more egis, real summons
Use your imagination until 3.0 and just chill. The way summoners are now ain't game breaking like low magic defense or moving to much.

No they need to readjust SMN now! This is just stupid...

Even though the expansion is still 4 months away, I think it is at the point where it is not worthwhile to put dev time into balancing SMN. Any content from now until expansion will be overgeared to the point where SMN is unlikely to be excluded even from final coil. No new hardcore content is going to be added until expansion (AFAIK). With the expansion coming and all jobs going to 60 with new traits and/or abilities they are going to have a hell of a time rebalancing almost every class (not mentioning another 3 new jobs) in which SMN might just already be newly rebalanced for 60 and any changes made now may offset the original balancing for 60 creating additional work later on.
That's my personal opinion and I don't really know if they will or not I just wouldn't expect it at this point.

That's what I figured, too. It makes a world of sense, but most SMN players aren't content with that. I've decided to continue gearing my SMN while working on another job as a temporary replacement. DRG is surprisingly fun since the buffs...With the expansion coming and all jobs going to 60 with new traits and/or abilities they are going to have a hell of a time rebalancing almost every class (not mentioning another 3 new jobs) in which SMN might just already be newly rebalanced for 60 and any changes made now may offset the original balancing for 60 creating additional work later on.

Saying "wait till expansion" is a poor excuse. DRG got a buff about a month ago.

That's because DRG needed it badly. It was incredibly detrimental to their performance in FCoB. SMN can hold it's own in in FCoB but it's incredibly difficult to sustain your damage and MP.
I am a SMN main and I've cleared T10-13 with my static for a couple of months now. I understand the issues SMN is facing but it doesn't make things impossible. If you're playing optimally along with the rest of your party then you're not going to run into difficulties. My DPS is low in comparison to the rest of my group but I'm still managing to hold my own with an i125 weapon (and the occasional raise thrown out).
I don't agree with the dev silence on the matter but compared with everything else they have to do in game, a SMN job adjustment can wait until expansion when all jobs will be getting new abilities and adjustments too.
Dragoon could hold it's own as well in Coil? For DRG is was more a survivability thing. Their damage output was not as high as it should be, but it sufficed. I don't know, but the comparison to SMN seems very fair. Both Dragoon and Summoner could hold their own. It's just that they are / were the least favourable classes to play.
You are speaking from your own perspective. You need to be an amazing Summoner to come even near a BLM and that is indeed not impossible since I can pull the numbers myself on the Summoner. But you could easily have said the same about Dragoon.
By your logic they could have waited with the Dragoon as well. Just needed some VIT pieces or extra adlos. A group even cleared it with 4 Dragoons. There is no excuse, really.
