I got vote kicked for the first time today (or, how do I keep nin from taking aggro?)

My first attempt at Qarn our party wiped twice to Doom mechanic, vote abandon failed, party member begged us to use vote dismiss (to avoid a 30 minute lockout), so we obliged and replaced, new member very generously taught us how the dungeon worked and tried until we got it but ran out of time right before the final room.

Second time, party made some mistakes and wiped in the Doom room, right after we release someone asks me "wheres your sword oath?". I didn't realize I was supposed to use it because everyone said Paladins are supposed to use Shield Oath (which is not unlocked at that level). I said okay lemme fix that and got votekicked. I don't blame them but I guess people have no patience here.

Third time, NIN DPS got mad at the healer after the first two wipes, sat it out after vote dismiss on the healer failed. We decided to 3-person the Doom room to learn, then DPS rejoined after we cleared it with three people. Somehow we make it to the last room, try it a few times dps/heal start arguing and healer leaves. New healer comes in, and we bust it out with 6 minutes to go, but not before I lose boss aggro in the last 2 minutes of the fight and couldn't get it back at all even with Provoke and Flash.

The advice I'm looking for is this:

how do i got gear? where can i got 110 lol?: Someone asked why didn't I have rings. Yes, I am tremendously undergeared for my level, but my left side items are ilvl35+ and level sync into the dungeon. The only rings I can find on the MB give measly stats, at huge prices. Should I keep spamming low-level roulettes until I get enough soldiery tomes? Farm DD/brayflox/AK/whatever in hopes of getting drops?

How do I keep ninjas from stealing my aggro? I know Provoke doesn't actually build enmity, it just puts you on top for some amount of time, right? My enmity bar was just as full as DPS, both of us had full bars, DPS said "A" and mine said "2". I hit Provoke, then Flash right under the boss, and Shield Lob, but I didn't see the color go red for even a split second!

videos? There's nothing like learning and discovering a dungeon mechanic with your party for the first time. However, I kind of feel bad for the experienced players who have done it 100 times and just queue the roulette as a daily chore. It's one thing if there's actually a noob in the party but half the time, the entire party ends up full of Noct and Ironworks and i110 players getting their rewards together, lol! I have all my current dungeons down now, and I know I definitely need the videos for HMs and t5+... but do I really need to see the spoilers for CT/ST before queueing them for the first time?

    level 47 so far, right?
First, your gear is... BAD. So bad I have never seen anyone with such a bad gear.
It's strange that you say your server's MB has huge prices. I heard Excalibur is fairly crowded server, so there should be lots of crafters. No matter what, you should outfit yourself. At lvl 45 you get quest to get some ilvl 50 pieces. About "right side", just buy them from MB. HQ ilvl 70 should be more or less cheap.
Ninjas... are overgeared. Everyone is overgeared, compared to what I see.
Videos... are not needed. In most dungeons all you need is just hold agro and evade AOEs. Quarn's oneshot is exception. Best way - ask before the boss what to do.

Honestly, you are probably going to have a hard time keeping aggro until you get both Shield Oath and more experience with the class. Paladin is mediocre at best at holding hate until you get to level 40. I seriously dislike level syncing below level 40 for that exact reason. The best way to fetch aggro back from someone is to front load a combo by using Fast Blade > Savage Blade. Provoke is off the global cooldown, so use that next, then use Rage of Halone. That should put enough hate on the mob to put you ahead of the DPS for a bit.

Make sure to get the best gear you can get for your level. At level 50, the best way to gear up is to go through CT, then farm ST. You will get some i100 gear you can use while you're collecting tomes and ST gives quite a lot of tomes per run. Usually people explain the mechanics in ST for new people.

Just get some cheap rings off of the market, even level 20-30 ones will do until you're 50.

Regarding losing aggro to Ninjas, looking at your Lodestone, your weapon is a lvl 38 one, you should definitely upgrade to one closer to your actual level, since the higher your dmg, the more aggro you pull. Same goes for the rest of your gear, at least upgrade your main pieces ASAP. This is also why you use Sword Oath until you get Shield Oath. Provoke adds +1 to the highest aggro someone has on the target. Say, the ninja had 1000, you use provoke, you now have 1001 aggro on it. Now, if someone hits it again before you get the chance, they will pull it back, so follow up with skills that pull good amounts of aggro and never use Shield Lob in melee range.

Only watch videos for Coil and Extreme Primals, no need to do so for any other content.

    videos- don't need for ST/CT

Provoke: Theres no time involved, just puts you at the top+1. If the ninja sneezes at the boss, he gets the aggro. Sounds like flash and shield lob wasnt enough

Also what level are you? You needa get to 50 first before i110

Have you looked into your GC and spend your GC seals on some items there?

Also, being level 47 you should already have done your lv 45 job quest that would give you lv 45 gear

I'm shocked at the fact that one is able to bypass all main quest, class quest, side quests' rewards and end up being lv47 with lv15 gear and missing gear as well.

    HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?

I just did every side quests in the areas I was sent to by the main / class quests and had 0 trouble gearing. I even skipped a lot of those quests after lv40 to focus on FATE farming...

    That's your issue N°1 here.

Just go do the remaining side quests you skipped. They're only worth doing on your first time leveling to lv50, once that is done you can grind 1-50 on an alt class with the +50% bonus xp doing mobs grinding (1-10), LEVEs (10-15) and then spam FATEs or find people to do dungeon runs. Some prefere doing FATEs from 40 to 50 (I do) some prefere Dzemael Darkhold first room farming (newbies unfriendly).

EDIT: You ALWAYS have a tank / dps / spell caster option for quest item rewards. I never bought a single piece of gear off the market board on the way to lv50, that way I ended up with 200 ish K gil saved.

If shield oats isn't available, use sword oats. Damage is enmity, and every bit helps esp as a low level PLD.

Ninja dps is pretty damn overpowered comparatively to other dps class at early levels. They get their 20% damage buff at lvl 36, and a 360 potency skill at lvl 35; they'll very likely peel aggro off you if they don't hold back their dps on pulls (esp with a pre-40 PLD)

And if neither are available use porridge oats? :P

    You mean Oath ^^

As others have said get your job quests done for a nice boost in gear that will last you to level 50, chest from Darkhold for now. Damage, of course, scales off of Weapon damage of course, but so does flash. It does simulated magic damage that generates Enmity without removing HP from the mob. So the better the weapon, (WD counts most) the easier it is to hold enmity. Don't be shy with flash also, you pretty much can hold enmity on packs of mobs just doing flash and riot blade combo while tabbing between and dropping a quick Halone combo if someone close to stealing a mob.

Single targets, like bosses just use the 1 2 3 Halone combo. It doesn't hurt to ask the DPS to give you a few seconds to build up enmity before they go all out.

Good opener for Bosses, shield lob while running in, hit flash, Fight or flight, 2x uncombod Rage of Halone, then just go into your 1 2 3 Halone combo. If Flash puts blind on the boss, pop it into your rotation as increases chance boss will miss, thus less healing on you=less healer enmity XD

Ask in your FC if any crafters, see if they can make something to help you.

Provoke instantly gives you the highest party member's enmity, plus one. You're not going to see Provoke's full effect in a normal dungeon unless you have a significant enmity deficit (eg. after a KO) or the mob is out of melee range.

You're in normal mode Qarn, so i110 gear isn't going to help you--it's all level capped to 37. You're losing hate to DPS because:

    a) You're not sticking to your PLD enmity combo,
--Riot Blade has a very limited use. Against a single target, you're not going to need MP for Flash. You want to keep running Fast>Savage>Halone.
    b) You're executing the enmity combo too slowly,
--Don't allow the GCD to sit idle. The DPS are hitting as hard as they can, and so should you.
    c) Your accuracy is too low and you're whiffing the combo.
--Probably not likely in a normal mode dungeon, but it'll be more significant later on.

ARR tanks have generous enmity multipliers. Keep the pressure on and you'll be fine.
