People selling runs, why not talking about it ?

Getting funds from Gil Sellers is Cheating. That is what is pathetic. Those accounts should be perma banned. They make the entire economy worthless for those who actually work to earn gil.

If you've sold anything on the market board, you have probably gotten funds from a gil seller, however indirectly that might be. If you've bought shards off the market board, you've probably given money to a gil seller. There's no way to just remove all the money from the economy if it's already been spent. Would it be fair to take the money away from you? I don't think it'd be fair at all, even if I got my item back. I'd have to go through selling it again. Way too much effort for something that I have absolutely no control over.

I should go to these servers that sell runs, I'd be in business. I sell them for free. I'd make a ton of free then! If I've already cleared these fights, what's the point in pricing them? I'm not really losing much of anything if we fail. What? Repair prices, a little time? (I repair my own gear anyways) What can I gain by winning? Armor, upgrade materials, a mount. What can I get anyways for not being a stingy, greedy, elitist player even though others consider me skilled at what I do? Friends, a network of people who WANT to play with me, constant whispers for invitations to static groups, people willing to return a favor to me for my Free Company members. I would rather have people want to play with me than think that I'm too expensive to play with.

Oh please that doesn't make it right when users use this gil sellers. I can personally earn money primarily by gathering. I'm able to get by buying what I need even at current prices but the economy doesn't need to be poisoned by losers who simply buy their way into the game by illicit means. They are wrong, plain and simple and trying to infer that those using the market board are somehow implicated because they buy or sell there is ridiculous.

what you fail to understand is that whenever you buy shards, you're most likely to fund RMT. Whenever you sell something, part of the money you get came from RMT's hands at some point.
Saying that you can earn money by gathering is blinding yourself. The only way to get "clean" gils in FFxiv is to farm it into dungeons/roulettes or quests. There is no other way. Every single other mean will include RMT gils.

Doesn't make gil buying right. But saying you have nothing to do with the RMT business is a lie. If you ever sold something on the market board or bought shards, you had business with RMT or participated in the cleaning of RMT gils. Doesn't matter if you're not willing to do it. You're doing it, that's a fact.

Think about this for just one second. Let's say you buy a stack of shards from the MB. Where do those shards come from? If your answer is "legitimate players" you're hopelessly naive. They might well do in some cases, but not all!

I can guarantee that at least some of the gil you own has in some way, shape or form, passed through an RMT network whether it be directly or indirectly. Unless you are earning all your gil from NPCs, Roulettes, Dungeons and Challenge logs, and being completely self-sufficient in terms of crafting/gathering/repairs (ie: no interaction with anyone other than an NPC) you cannot guarantee that any gil you have is completely, 100% legitimate.

Simple as that.

This is a logical assumption to make and in no way says that legitimate players are at fault. If the market has been tainted you can't exactly remove all the dirty money without it impacting a hell of a lot of people.

I can't believe people pay millions just to pass onto content harder than the stuff they couldn't beat in the first place. Bet the gil sellers love that stuff!
