Omg, I could really go into deep discussion about this comment, but I'm not. I'll just keep laughing and shaking my head.
Say what?? Please tell me how this is possible, how can you skip content with real money? -_-
I'll say it again, insulting those that use the cash shop doesn't sell your argument.
I don't see how vanity items help you clear turn 9. Please enlighten us.What I care about is that content can be skipped with real money when yoshi specificly stated he wouldn't put that in the cash shop

He said there's NO PAY TO WIN which there isn't, it's not giving anyone a stat, better armor or benefits of allowing people to skip things like TbcoB.
Not that he wouldn't sell them, since his announcement at the fanfestival.

That's without considering buying ilvl 110 to bypass gearing, buying carries to bypass engame walls, etcThe thing here is, as the negative (debate term, meaning against the status quo) we only have to prove one case of pay to win, as the affirmative (For the status quo) you have to disprove all cases of pay to win.
My argument:
Indirect RMT by definition is pay to win.
My case:
Experience pots are commonly used examples of pay to win. Evidence
Indirect RMT (buying of an item with real life currency to sell for ingame currency) in this game can purchase all the leve items to level a craft or gathering job. Evidence
Selling EB bracelets for Gil is indirect RMT as defined above.
Case closed.
Edit to add: can you people explain how leveraging real life money for an in game advantage is not pay to win? I have certainly shown, with evidence, where advantage is gained by real life money.

The first link is an empty search when I click on it and the second link takes me to ffxiv guild's levemetes page. Somehow I don't think those were what you were hoping to show. I can't judge anything by those.2 posts above the one you all quoted.

I can explain that that the eternal bond bracelet trading is an unintended consequence of how they designed the eternal bond system. One that is going to be fixed. As long as square fixes what they have said is broken, I'm going to say that they still are keeping that promise.

Let me explain it to you in the most easy way I can considering you still didn't catch on.
1) Buy item from cash shop
2) Sell item for gil (if dye, trade item to person. They dye it and trade it back for gil)
3) Now that you have lots of gil without earning it its time to spend it on something.
4) I'm stuck on turn 5. I'll buy a run. Hmm I could also buy all the runs in second coils too. I'll buy some more items to convert to gil. Oh Shiva now drops better weapons I can just buy a run for that too. Why not I have lots of gil converted from items from the cash shop.
So bad players get good loot. Who cares? You can't buy skill. All those people can do is AFK in their shiny gear. Which is pretty pathetic if you ask me.

It still doesn't change the fact that its pay to win. The point is you can buy clears or gear with stats with gil earned from the cash shop. It's a legal way to do the same thing as RMTs. Why you want to defend that is beyond me. Let's defend paying more cause that's logical. SE doesn't care about you, they are a business; so stop white knighting.
I care when they end up on my runs or get picked up as replacements for statics without having the base skills from learning the content.
