    lets say then, a guy who really wants (and only wants) the bahamut minion, buys the OST but simply threw it away after redeeming the minion code, its now simply a $50 minion, no different from going into Mogstation and paying $50 outright for the minion.

    I'm not sure why those against the inclusion of paid vanity item are perfectly OK with another indirectly paid vanity item that is also behind a pay-wall and absolutely unattainable in game unless you fork out cash for it.

    If i'm not mistaken, the whole argument against micro-transactions is that players are already paying a sub so they should be able to have access to all of the game's content so why are they perfectly OK that multiple minions and vanity gear are actually locked behind a paywall (indirect) and are not accessible in-game without spending money to buy merchandise.

    This is what perplexes me and this is what convinced me that those against micro-transactions are actually against it in form but not in principle.
