CS Complaint Threads Need to Stop

My only beef with "feedback" about CS issue are all the threads that keep getting hijacked, and derailed for it.

It's getting old. If you enjoy purchasing optional minions, mounts, etc. from the Cash Shop that's awesome. Thanks for being willing to contribute more money to help with the development costs of the game and future content!

Don't like the Cash Shop? Get over it. It's here to stay. Personally, I could care less and will continue to pay my 9.99 USD for my subfee and unless something truly awesome is added to the CS, I won't be making any purchases there as I couldn't care less about having additional minions, or an overpriced mount, or any other CS items that I would have to pay additional to obtain.

So what you are saying is since it doesn't effect you it's not a big deal, right? Wrong because SE is testing the waters here. Hypothetically speaking let's assume Slepnir and Odin minions aren't in game. Now let's assume SE just announced Odin HM with new i120 weapons and you can buy Odin EX version from the cash shop that includes Slepnir and Odin minion. It's the same concept because it's just "fluff" items but now it actually effects the majority instead of minority. Content is content whether it's PvE, PvP, or Sandbox.

If it's purely cosmetic and has no impact on player performance or stats, I don't really see the problem.

Heck, I don't think people would have a problem with wedding if they kept it to free-only with no mounts and the default outfits... None would be the wiser. As if having a draught chocobo would give person A an advantage over person B.

You know, some people didn't jump at the "bonus" items not because they were fine with it but because it was a more "elegant" way of marketing, as in, $E didn't go out of their way to wave shinies up our faces... (which they kind of do now...) ( > . >

I don't know about you but I get this mindset feeling from $E now: "Let's cash shop everything we can!!! ( $ - $ "

While during the "bonus" items, I didn't get that mindset feeling.

Imo the reason of countless threads is because your post gets lost on the active spam and no one notices your voice. Making your own thread gets your opinion on top of everyone else there, plus the flame that follows for making a new thread lol

so I guess I've found a perfect solution for players and for Square Enix with regard to micro-transactions

Simply release all micro-transaction vanity items as bonuses of physical merchandise, sell a Sleipnir figurine at $49.99 and it comes with an in-game Sleipnir mount, buy a FF14 Wedding catalogue book for $49.99 and get a Gold wedding plan ticket etc
