Little updates weekly vs Great updates Monthly

small weekly, bi-weekly updates/patches are nice but remember FFXI's patcher sucks big time! (doesn't affect me)
every patch/update going to make everyone download the full patch every time...

Do you mean page 32 of the forum , or 32 of a single complaint thread. If it's the latter then that has to be nice getting all the raging in one thread, but if its the former then man they post a hell of a lot more threads than we do.

they currently have 50 pages worth of posts in that particular thread. At the time i was reading from page 1 and just reached the 32nd page of that thread. The complaints where pretty much the same so it was easy to remember. Even saw multiple posts that quoted 'shyt patch'

Weekly patches would be tricky unless you want them released untested.

Just remember the 'shyt patch' note was only posted on first few pages, towards the end it's more about the instance raids which shouldn't be on that thread lol.
+ look at the posts those guys that posted those comments, all their posts are basically complaints about this game even before 1.18.

I wouldn't call it a rage though, it's pretty normal when big change like this happened, dev's just need to hurry up and start releasing info on 1.19 now since like YoshiP said in his letter 1.18 will first be bad for players but 1.19 supposed to follow up and fix those.

There are good positive comments in there also, JP's made 2 threads on what they like about 1.18 and what they don't. Pretty much same thing but separated.

One main rage I see is from the crafters mad about the active mobs, feel sorry for them + the death penalty should of waited later patches the 10% is hitting really hard.

no it was actually scattered here and there in the middle parts of the 50 page thread too, those are in the longer posts. I read the forums at work so i have time to look through every post.

quite honestly i was blown aback by the upfront-ness of their posts and sometimes it sounded so condescending. Its something i dont see in the NA forums at all. If this is actually considered 'normal' then im going to have more fun spending time there lol

I guess I don't really care either way. I just dont like having to download a huge unnecessary patch just to receive a small tweak to the search function or what have you.

So perhaps under duress I would have to admit that monthly updates would be my personal preference.

If you guys use fire fox get this add-on I don't use for JP to English but mainly for German, French rep responses but this lets you translate any paragraph, word, page instantly.

At least it gives you general idea, just remember to read the whole paragraph, sentence since JP language sometimes makes it sound like one way but means other way due to their sentence structure.

also gotta remember that some translations dont let the reader know sarcasm from another language. ;o altho theres nothing that can be done for that unless its manually translated. So for those using this translation link, if you see some weird 'politeness' to the posts, and theres a good bunch of "likes", its most likely the form of jp 'come-here-i-will-slap-you' silent anger

LOL I just tried it ... why the hell is translation this bad with JP to English? German and French translations isn't this bad lolol

it seems every time we DL a patch it is current fixes plus past patches, I would hate to have to do this every week.
