^This. Whether or not you're able to create a new character on a given server is not determined by how many players are currently logged-in.

Why? What on earth have you got to dislike about it? If someone has been AFK for like an hour or two, they obviously are not playing the game, and possibly aren't even at their computer. Anyone it would actually impact is literally not there. Those of us who are actually playing the game don't exactly appreciate our frame rates diving into the gutter any time we enter a city with crowds of "people" just standing there motionless for hours. Logging off people who aren't playing will provide a better experience for those who are, and it will put less strain on the servers.

they could program it to read if they are Qued or Autosynth/Desynth, if not just log em out after a set amount of time. Like say someone ques for a Primal and leaves the keyboard cause Ques are ridiculous imo...but wont be logged till the Que pops and they miss it...kinda a consequence for not paying attention ya know?
Yeah, they could certainly implement a measure to prolong the auto-logout if you're in a DF queue, but I don't see that as being necessary. For one thing, they could set the timer at 2 or 3 hours. For another, anyone who is unable/unwilling to even hit a key or click their mouse at least once per hour or two is obviously not paying attention to their computer and will probably miss the DF pop anyhow. Who is honestly in a position of "I am way too busy to nudge my character forward one step every couple of hours, but if my DF queue comes up I can totally play a whole dungeon!"
