Tank Fairy

For those of you that think us SCHs need a tank fairy that should mean SMNs should get a healing Egi. We don't need a tank fairy, I solo just fine without one. If you're that concerned why not make your chocobo a tank chocobo. You'd have your chocobo to tank, your fairy to heal, and you can put up cleric stance and DPS. You've got the trinity system right there!

People can't solo on sch what? It takes longer than smn but yeah nooo tanking fairy is def not necessary.

Sch do not need a tank pet the same as smn don't need a healing pet.
It will be become a very big grey area if they both can do what the other job can.

Scholars don't need no freakin tank faerie. However, I've tanked with my summoner when we've lost our tank in dungeons. Qarn comes to mind. Even though we made it through the entire dungeon,stepping on our DC'd tankers toes with Titan, we got to the last boss and could not complete it.

Although I am curious as to what they will get with the level cap increases. Only fair to give them more pets as summoners will surely get them too. Maybe a status inflicting pet that could maybe cause terror or hysteria along with embrace and have a status warding team buff? I'm excited to see!

I think it's rumored that summoners will get Levi and Ramuh egis with the expansion. With that I am anticipating (though not holding my breath) that Scholars will get two new pets as well. Although SE has done a pretty amazing job with impressing me with this game as of late.

Or u can be a true tank and tank urself.
Can't really say sch can tank due to the sch not taking damage if all tht damage is going to the pet.
If the sch dies in 1 or 2 hits then lawl.
But has anyone tested if the fairies hp scale with the sch's max hp?
Something similar to how titan has more hp when the sch equips tank gear and uses a vit potion.
Also like how stoneskin works off of max hp.

Fairy HP scales with your VIT. I wear some VIT / Crit melded i90 crafted accessories on my SCH because I prefer that itemization versus the others and my Fairy has 5.4K HP while I have like 5.8K, I think.

On topic - why have a tank fairy when you have a little heal bot fairy healing you while you tank? =p
