    SCH macro help

i just recently switch my main to SCH for WHM and i've been setting up my macros but cannot get pet actions to display as the macro icon, here is an example of one of the macro's i'm playing around with
    /macroicon "Fey Illumination"
    /pac "Fey Illumination"
    /ac Succor

also if there are any other macros/tips and tricks i should be aware of it would be greatly appreciated

I'd much rather teach you to use the forum search function. But it's probably less energy to simply link you something:

This topic comes up all the time, and there's plenty of reading material on the forums, as Lyrica hinted.

    Basically these points, though:

    - Most ability macros are not as effective in practice as they would appear. It's simpler and less error-prone, for example, just to hit your Fey Illumination separately and then follow with whichever spells the situation calls for.

    - Useful macros tend to be those that announce important information to the party upon skill use or those that manage pet behaviors as needed (e.g. a command to Stay prior to using Fey Glow/Light on Selene so that she will execute the buff immediately rather than attempting to queue it or flat out ignoring you just because ain't nobody got time for that).

    - Learn to use and love mouseover macros for fairy micromanagement. I used to dislike them, but I rearranged my HUD a little, got rid of my Physick/Adlo+Embrace macros, and found that this method was indeed more flexible when I got used to the change. The combo macros were fine for split healing, but being able to do so without having to commit an Embrace or to click-confirm separate targets is very convenient.

As far as I can tell, it just doesn't work for pet skill icons. Or maybe there's a special command for it that I'm not aware of.

Otherwise, much like with most real-life cake, the icing in this thread is the best part.

There is a special sentence you have to put on the macro to show the pet macro icon. You need to add "pet "Eos" " or "pet "Sélène" "

    Example :

    /macroicon "Fey Illumination" pet "Eos"
    /pac "Fey Illumination"
    /ac Succor

You should now have the Fey Illumination macroicon correctly working.

The only Macro I use on my SCH and Leeches + Embrace. I find it very useful, since lots of status effects also come with a damage packet, so while you are cleansing, the pet can do a bit of a heal.
