Well the if you want to call it that the "balancing" resulted in less achievable SP/hour gain that pre-patch. Slower ranking up process = nerfed ranking up process.

so let me ask you this

is it reasonable to get the last rank in less then 2 hours in ANY mmo?
i call that unreasonable, and way too fast by any standard
you dont want people getting the ranks too too easy, and thats what was happening before(and thats not counting the fact at rank 30 you were getting a rank an hour which was even worse)

now you still get ranks at a fairly quick rate(4 hours tops id say) which is reasonable

if you wanted easy quick ranks, you lost your chance at it, time to get with the times and play it like its a real mmo and actualy take the time to earn stuff

you dont want people getting the ranks too too easy, and thats what was happening before(and thats not counting the fact at rank 30 you were getting a rank an hour which was even worse)

Well I don't know that we can throw specific amount of time it would take to rank up now because it depends on what rank we are talking about but I think it is agreed that it takes longer than before. Now I am NOT discussing whether or not it should have been slowed down (I do agree that it was too fast), I am talking about the fact that it was stated it wouldn't.

Why would they go out of their way to tell us, a day before the patch went live, that ranking up would remain the same and then nerf it? It upsets me that they would attempt to sort of reassure everyone and then do that. If it was done consciously that's just a slap in the face to everyone who has remained loyal through thick and thin and if it was done by an oversight then sadly they unconsciously did what they said they wouldn't.

thats 4 hours for the final rank, 5 tops

and since you start that at 44(when the sp is slightly over 80k) you can only guess how fast the ranks below it are, and you dont even need as much sp per hour to rank as fast then

No. People with a lot more experience than you told you quite clearly that they are not, and you chose to plug your ears, because that fact takes the ground off from under your petty and libelous accusations to a developer.

By now, you've just become a broken record chanting "I'm right because I say so!". Luckily for us all, things don't magically become true just because you repeat them enough times.

There's nothing more funny than someone that didn't even experience half the leveling curve trying to teach everyone how that leveling curve is.

No behest out there used to give 30k/hour (actually, it's entirely possible to skim just under 40k hour with raptors and similar grinding). Hence, your false point has been proven for what it is: False.

If there even was any further need of it, considering that many already posted several verifiable figures way higher than old behest figures, achieved with several activities.

Going on, I'd like to say I feel that when someone says that something will remain unchanged, it does not mean that they won't touch anything, it could very well mean that it's still a brisk pace to moderate. I think his intent was to say that it wouldn't be an epic marathon like some games have been in the past (See FFXI pre-book). It would still be a fair pace but it wouldn't be an insane halt on progress. I don't think it is, I played yesterday and felt like it was only a slightly slower pace, but still manageable considering the amount of effort I put in, and with what people have said on here, I do believe that it will be manageable in future ranks too.
