Wow, it's almost as if Americans don't understand that countries outside of America operate with a different set of rules, and sites like Amazon have uk specific payment options such as allowing their uk based debit cards whereas the american Amazon only accepts credit cards.

But you understand how pointless and arrogant your comment was right? We're not dealing with Amazon's payment processor yet you decided to point it out as if it made a difference. Just putting that out there. Amazon's processor utilizes features like "Verified by Visa" and the Mastercard equivalent. SE arbitrarily declines cards and their support is literally useless.

We're here to discuss and try to find a way around it or is SE could come up with some sort of solution.

The EU players apparently have that support email they can contact to whitelist their card yet when I asked the NA support they had no such services.

So basically, the ability to pay for crysta with paypal has been removed, and you can only do so with your credit card now. The same goes for subscription fees. Which means the only other alternative is to buy a prepaid card (which makes my subscription 25% more expensive) and which leaves me doomed to wait for the slowpoke postal service. No thank you.

Not everyone has a credit card (I don't, for example), and that pretty much means there's no proper option to pay my subscription fees anymore. I don't know if you realized this when you cancelled the paypal option, but this is going to be really bad for business because people will get frustrated.

I know how you feel, my Wife and I don't use credit cards and the last pre-paid card I got took 3 weeks for them to cancel the account due to our rural address, so a pre-paid card isn't a viable option for me and my Wife, my Wife and I would like to buy some fantasias and other stuff from the shop but can't due to no paypal.

There's a good reason for not using a credit card: if your account details get hacked no-one gets your credit card details and trashes your credit rating.

this is one of the other reason we won't use the bank card for gaming subs.

I´m From Latin America Colombia, and my way of pay was the Western Union in PlaySpan´s method... I don´t know what is the problem with that company, but Square Enix and FFXIV take out that option. In other words, in other 180 days (cuz im think pay early 180 days more and have the crysta save it for that) they lost a good and hardcore gamer... and i don´t Know how many gamers from Latin America or other Continents and Countries are lost with that imposition!

Oh! and Square Enix: No all the ppl and other countries have the posibility of get a Credit Card, and the foreigner debit cards is not allowed in their Country! you know right?

But there are usually addional fees involved with using those that some don't want to pay. They also aren't necessarily available in all regions, or the ones that are available in some regions may not work properly with SE's system.

All of this happened before with XI... you would think they would have learned their lesson already. It's been four months now since WE became aware that UGC was going down. I would expect SE knew before we did. Don't know what the hold up is for getting a viable replacement in place... but they really need to step up their game for those that have been impacted by this change.
