are WHMs hard to come by?

When I heal I mostly use Adloquim. Because I'm a Crit, PIE healer. My Adlos hit for about 950 (1100 on War) I like to think that I'm healing for 1900 because of the shield. Now if I crit that bad boy for 1400. I'm healing for 4200 which is insane. Of course only 1400 of it.is actually raw healing but still. It is a beautiful sight.

I use WHM for Coil and Primal extreme because it's my main and I like it and it's the class I know how to use best... but for everything else I'm always on SCH because I'm lazy. If I want I can park my character somewhere and everyone will still be alive even if I take a break to chat or eat. I let Selen on Sic so I don't even have to manage that amd just breeze through stuff. I've used my WHM for a dungeon for the first time today since I brought my arcanist to 50 a couple of months ago.

@ DreamWeaver, did you hear the dev team talking about maybe making Stone Skin a party-wide cast during fanfest? That would be a big boost in proactive healing potential for WHM. I seriously hope they actually do that, if only so that no one ever has to cast that spell 8 times in a row again

I hope not. AoE stoneskin would mean making Succor suddenly useless - unless you make AoE SS cost 600 MP :P

IIRC they were discussing it being only out-of-combat. Something to decrease prep time at the start of duties or between major pulls or bosses.

true, but dont forget traits, since some of the skills you crossed out are stronger on one class then the other

WHM:
- cure can procc free cure II (SCH cant)
- protect also adds magic def (SCH dont)
- stonestkin has 18% of max hp (10% for SCH)

SCH:
- virus does more reduce (WHM cant)
- eye for an eye has 120 sec CD (180 sec on WHM)

stoneskin and protect are way stronger on WHM, but SCH gets better reduction of enemy dmg
one shields the own group better, the other reduces the dmg from enemies better
you cant just cross out those ones after all

Untraited virus reduces the same amount of Strength and Dexterity. Difference is that Super Virus also reduces Intelligence and Mind.

yeah, but it is still stronger since it reduces magic skills while WHM can only reduce physic skills with it
thus SCH has the better one, especially if you include that 1 min buff on enemies which prevents virus from being re-applied

tbh, i didnt know the exact difference in that one at the time of writing, i only started playing one month ago and still have much to lern

Imo whm is the healer of duty finder and pugs while sch is the healer of the statics and organised / very functional groups.

Whm can easily heal and compensate bad players due to burst heals while sch can maintain good groups with their shields and sustains.
I guess its just tht since there r a lot of statics and LS farm groups now, a lot of ppl just need a healer who can sustain the party with little effort rather than a healer who can save them from the brink of wiping.

I think SCH is still rarer but WHM is a lot easier to work with if people don't know how well a healer will perform.

That makes no sense.

But are equally equipped to "save" both pugs and organized groups. They have different tools both equally useful.
