Is it so hard to occasionally check the duty window and see how many people have queued so far?
Is it so hard to occasionally check the duty window and see how many people have queued so far?
and that is a guarantee of how long you going to wait ?...I queue as a healer, I waited 45mn the other day to enter stone vigil, only one missing ....TANK
how many have queued means absolutely nothing, even the estimated waiting time means nothing. You do not have a clue when you register how long you are going to wait, none, you can only hope that it wont be too long. As a dps I waited nearly 2h to enter, what should I do ? not do anything ? stop playing as some suggested and do something else ? oh you mean never do any dungeons so never progress if in a DF I need 2h to enter, imagine as a PF party...may as well say never !
I dont see why people should be penalized for using a possibility created by SE, I would prefer by far that SE took up some responsability as far as kick in players is concerned rather then penalize people that do not want to enter a place due to whatever the reasons prior to enter a place, maybe after waiting for a long time.
What a world...!

The queue block is temporary. Unless stated otherwise, it is the usual 30min lockout.
The daily timer is what triggers the block every time you withdraw.
To make an example, if you withdraw multiple times in a day, the first two times you will get a free pass to requeue without penalty, while from the third time and go on, every time you withdraw, you will get the lock penalty.
After the day timer expire, count is put to zero and you again have the two tickets for withdrawals without penalty.
This method will not punish people that queue 120min and get duty when for some reason are away (remember? 2 free tickets!), it will punish who have the habit to make withdrawals their playstyle with DF.
finally someone gets it the fact is ive realized something this selfish people such as miles probely even yell and vote kick someone for watching a video or learning a new fight with duty finderhow many have queued means absolutely nothing, even the estimated waiting time means nothing. unless I missed something, after three times you deny the entry you locked out for 1 day. 30mn is if you quit the dungeon while you are inside. Unless I am mistaken, we are talking of two different things here. The queue block is temporary. Unless stated otherwise, it is the usual 30min lockout.

Well if people were more responsible with the DF, we wouldn't have this problem now, would we?
But if me and other people in the group are selfish for wanting to, after waiting, complete a duty, progress in relics, or progress in story and are held back by people who either fish for in progress duties or several people in a row suddenly "realizing" they are not ready yet, then I will wear the selfish badge proudly! :3

Yes, you missed something. The something in the patch notes where the temporary penalty applies to people who withdraw 3 times OR MORE in a single day. Tell me, how can someone withdraw more than 3 times per day if the lockout was the entire rest of the day?
Then don't be alt tabbed. It's not harsh at all I get tired of trying to get into ST and having to go through 20plus withdrawals. To prevent people from fishing for in progress, 3 times per hour would have been enough of a restriction, 3 times per day seems harsh, especially considering that the FFXIV icon doesn't even flash in the task bar if you're alt tabbed and, for example, reading the forum to pass some queue-waiting-time. If they implement something to actually notify me when a queue is finally found if I've the game minimized, I'll welcome this change with open arms.
It means you can no longer do other stuff while waiting for DF because if it pops up mid craft you get the choice of not being able to do DF for the day or losing your materials. Thanks.
