how do you know when you register how long you going to wait ?....For the people with a 2+ hour queue time complaining about this. Are you seriously telling me that your complaining about a potential lock-out when the only way to get that lock out requires you to be in a queue for 6+ hours? I wish I had that sort of time to throw away on gaming.

People better not register me when I am not on the right class yet...

I'm pretty sure this only applies to the queues that have popped and are ready and not the ones you have only registered for.
please make it possible to commence DF while I'm in the loading screen. I missed a DF once because I'm teleporting and cannot click it.
and the DF sound alert still need to be replaced. the clock ticking sound is ok but the first alert still not loud enough.
Question, what is this "in-progress fishing" that ppl are talking about and this measure seems to prevent?
Also, this is what I normally do... I retire to an inn room (so it's really quiet and with no RMT spam) queue up, turn off BGM, and go play Euro Truck Simulator or something. So I hear the notification sound when it pops up. I pause the other game, and alt+tab back.
Or I go read a book in bed leaving the game running, or watch an episode of Code Geass or something.
But then again I'm a healer... I mostly have problems queueing up for Primals, but that's all.

A lot of tanks are too lazy to run full dungeons and too selfish to care about other players so they repeatedly spam the DF and withdraw from any fresh runs until they get an in-progress run that's nearly finished. This is particularly problematic in the Crystal Tower raids due to their length.Question, what is this "in-progress fishing" that ppl are talking about and this measure seems to prevent?

Because of the way the popup works the other people waiting for that instance end up unable to do anything for ages because the popup just flashes up on their screen over and over until the tank either gives up or gets what they wanted.
This change in the patch will make it impossible to fish for in-progress dungeons and also prevent trolling.
Given that you also have to do this three times in a single day before it penalises you I don't understand why anyone else is concerned that they'll get punished for going AFK during a long queue.
Does anyone know if we can change the queue pop notifier sound effect? on weekends, when I have more time to play, I usually set up a queue then do dishes, laundry, etc until I hear the queue pop noise and I find a lot of the time I don't hear the noise. I would like to be able to change it to something louder or longer. Since it is a 45sec queue timer, could there be additional notification sounds at 20/15/10/5 seconds? Just looking for ways to make it more prominent. I do really like that they added lockouts, I just hope its not too unforgiving. If I miss three in a day am I instantly locked out until the next morning at 9am or am I locked out for 30 min, 4th time, 1 hour, 5th time 2 hours, 6th time the rest of the day. Only saying this because I have never intentionally missed a queue pop but sometimes it happens and I don't want my mistake to cost me a harsh penalty. I think its the repeat offenders and the intentional ditchers that are the real target here and that I back 100%
Also it would be really nice if the Duty finder would automatically re-equip the gearset you queued up for the duty with instead of having to manually reassign. There have been times where I was browsing my retainer when it popped and I had been a crafter. I have to exit out of my retainer in a hurry, open my character sheet, change my class, then enter the duty finder tab, get to the status, open it, and then click accept. Its quite the process when you are panicked.

The dev team could have fixed "many" things, yet here we are.
