Someone who actually uses their brain when reading that statement! And not jumping on the 'get rid of the classes/yay no classes anymore' train!

Sure, adjustments here and there will be nice, but getting rid of the current classes? You'll be butchering the lore and backstories of three city-states to the point that history may as well take a dump people obviously don't care for it. Asides from PLD, none of the jobs have ANY special history with the three starter city-states. Let's use Gridania as an example~

Gridania's lore involving the elementals will be utterly destroyed if Conjurer got removed. You can hardly say its easy to replace conjurers with White Mages considering their powers have a substantial difference, with White Mage already established a source of their power (Amdapor City) and how Conjurers have a deep history with interactions of the forest's elementals.. If DRGs were to replace Lancers? May as well cut out the entire history of Wood Wailers then, because Dragoons came from Ishgard, so congratulations, you just eliminated a third of Gridania's battle force!

I don't mind adjustments. I want jobs themselves to have more prominent features and skills, but cutting out the class system is not an option.

It's not hard to imagine why DRK may not require a class. Of Limsa Lominsa, Gridania, Ul'dah and Ishgard, Ishgard is the one city-state which ties a job so heavily into its history that it doesn't have a base class in its city of origin; Dragoon. Or if it does, it's expected by lore for Dragoons to lead the war against the Dravanian Horde, so it remains a big part of Ishgard. Seeing this, it won't be hard to imagine the expansion having other cities with heavy roots with jobs instead of classes.
