But are you sure it's exclusive? I've been trying to find a legitimate source that isn't forum rumours hyped up that states that the items shown will be exclusive to the cash shop. Sites like Dualshockers reporting on the Fanfest only state that the cash shop is coming, not that merchandise in the cash shop is exclusive. Nor does Nova Crystallis. Nor does Massively.

Just one link to any reliable source that states that there will be items exclusive/only available in the cash shop. And I'll drop that matter. Until then, as much as I do dislike the idea of the cash shop, using 'exclusive items' as a basis for an argument is folly in my opinion.

They have zero incentive to give away anything that people will pay for, common sense.

I'll give you that we don't know for sure they are exclusive. However current available evidence suggest to me that they are.

I bet that SOME people who bought collector's edition only for the Fat Chocobo would rage if it was made obtainable in game, specially if you could buy it with some GIL. Why? Because they were "loyal" when they spent more money for it and they would feel deceived. Now the other loyal players who are playing for months need to accept that the vanity gear they got for being online for the last year can be obtainable with real money? The item is available every year in the seasonal events. If you are loyal to SE or like the game, you will be sure be playing the game for at least a year, then you could get that item you really wanted in the right time. So that's not an excuse to add the Shop.
Now I wanted (it wont and shouldnt happen) to see SE add Sleipnir mount droppable from Odin/bought with gil after 1 month after its release in the cash shop.

It's not obvious - Things that are obvious are stuff like Retainers and Fantasias...


....which btw they've been selling on the Mog Station for numerous months now...and nothing bad has happened to the game.

I want to see how many of those who say vanity doesnt hurt the game would be against it because they spent their real money on it, while the loyal players who spent their Real Lifetime on it can and need deal with it now.
You only accept the cash shop because you werent playing in the right time to get it. Or if you want New vanity gear, you should just wait, they will be added eventually in events or droppable in the dungeons. But now that they saw you accepted paying for it previous event items will be harder to obtain and everybody else, even those who play from day one, will now see some of those vanity only obtainable with real money.
I thank those who are late in the game or those who want their new items immediately for making the game worse just because you can't wait or farm for it. You would feel much better if you worked hard to get that Sleipnir mount you want.
