Are you saying the mount is only worth having if other can't get it?

They already said they were increasing drop rates on those mounts which also devalues that Titan ex mount that someone RNG'd so hard for. Not the same as paying but both result in devaluing the *potential* work it took with the initial RNG drop chance. Here is the issue with cash shops. Say if Jhony Joe has been grinding Titan EX for the rare mount that has a really low drop rate. He spends weeks or even months trying to get it and it finally drop's. Then 2.4/.5 comes out and a cash shop is added to the game and suddenly Sally Sue can get the exact same item that Jhony Joe got in less then fifteen minutes or so.
Agreed. This was a response based from what I read early into the thread. As long as the items offered cant be obtained in-game save having to buy it off the player market then I wont care much over it because they wont matter or affect any of the current value that goes with rare items. This applies to cash shops that offer current in game items. If, and in all fairness it is an 'if', SE keeps the promise of this being only vanity content (minions, mounts, and mogs) that is not available in game, then this isn't really an issue. If they start offering in-game and/or P2W stuff, I'll be right there with those complaining about this.
Except that I suspect you'll find that a large percentage of those buying said physical item are buying it expressly for the in game item. I'm planning on buying the CDs and art book just for the pets and I'm not alone in that.
A bit, but there's a difference in scale between "I cleared the content and it drops more often" and "I just forked out 20 bucks without clearing the content".

Was that confirmed? They mentioned that atmas and mirrors but I thought they brushed off the mount aspect with no response.
Always remember the Silver Rule:
"Treat others as they treat you!" ...or something like that.
There is a difference between increasing the drop rate for the item in-game and selling it in an item shop. One is okay because it means that the mount is more likely to drop. The other isn't because if someone looks up how high the drop rate for the mount or item is in the game and realizes they can save themselves weeks worth of potentially painful grinding, they will opt for the easy way to get it, which decreases item value.
Just because the work is less does not mean that a player did not work for it.
Simply buying it is not putting in any work whatsoever.
GOTTA UNSUB NOW. Ran Garuda ex a few hundred times for the mount. Still haven't gotten the Titan ex one with a few hundred clears. I just won't stand for this increased drop rate. Waaaah.
That's the sort of thing I'm hearing in this thread. Really, it's not that big a deal. Not pay to win, not a big deal.
Perhaps they worked for that money? 30 min to an hour at their job is work even if it isn't in game. :P
Such was the case with the mog earrings... Lol. For fanfest one guy reported spending close to 2k for the costume that was later offered for 20 dollars.![]()
