You really believe this, don't you?
What about the items that -were- available in-game and are now taken out to be sold on the cash shop? Until this Halloween event, you've been able to buy past seasonal items at the vendors. Now they're gone because they know they can get away with selling them for real money. The cash shop is not some saving grace that's going to give us more content, and I really feel sorry for anyone with low enough intelligence to believe that. It's only going to gate more and more content behind real life money, when it should have been in the game that we pay for with our subscription.
And yes, I do think it's wrong to do a pseudo cash shop with the soundtrack and art book minions. It's the same thing, but at least it's on a much lower scale than this.
I actually had an addendum about the seasonal items, but the character limit...
The thing about the seasonal item is a mixed bag. We've had to two different ways:
1) Seasonal items available ONLY during the event and at no other time, but they're "free"
2) Available ALL the time for everyone, but you gotta pay.
Option 1 got a lot of complaints and still gets complaints (look at the complaints about the TGS 2013 earrings becoming unavailable, as well as all the people sad that they missed the huge number of anniversary events) so it becomes natural to go to option 2.
Now personally I disagree with the precise way they implemented it...the items should still be free DURING the event but should also be for sale all year round. They might actually do this because people are complaining so much (i think the other thread about cash shops is at 75 pages) but I still LIKE the idea of items in the cash shop.
Exactly. I would rather have the option to get event items anytime i want. even if i have to pay a little to get it for convenience. I mean try to look at the full application here. not just the worst case "they are selling coil gear" scenario.I actually had an addendum about the seasonal items, but the character limit...

But it's an "option" that came at the cost of another option. Which is why people don't like it. It's the only way to get the items now.
As long as they don't sell "goody bags" I'm totally on board. I may support the idea of a cash shop, but I know the limits of acceptance of one.
What hairstyles are we getting?? the one or two that are segregated to a particular race with the other being a crossover?? i'm talking a monthly updated list of hairstyles all can use. The cash shop IS HAPPENING....i'm just trying to petition to make it more bearable once it hits so we can actually feel like we're not being ripped off from purchasable content. -_-
