The only thing missing is a naming way item we can buy from the cash shop. This is what people have been wanting to do and will to pay for since launch

I think you'd be happy wasting your money in a free to play game. I suggest you try one of those.Instead of selling those unobtainable items on the cash shop...they could have been prizes for mini games in the gold saucer. Things in the cash shop should have been hairstyles, tattoos, face paints, and the introduction of character accessories (back packs, bandannas, other body piercings, even capes!) If there is anything i learned from the sims is that people would happily spend a large amount of money on vanity items and no one would be upset because none of this has any impact on the game and can't even be held under scrutiny of "withheld content".
Have a bad rep? Been Black Listed?
Have we got a deal for you. Come down to the Mog Station Cash Shop and purchase your Namingway Name Card, to change your Name so it will never be the same. $2 for 3 or $5 for 6, cause you just never know when you'll need more.
Disclaimer: Will not grant access to FF Series Classic Names: Cecil, Cloud, Sephiroth, Sabin, Aerith, Kefka, that guy from accounting Steve.

FYI folks on your black list who changed their names via server transfer(the only known way to do it for now) will stay on your black list.
I'd happily cash out to replace my garuda egi with a wind-up moogle skin but instead the subscription flows into a cash shop development.
Let the cash shop gambling begin!
Honestly i don't get y everyone is so blah about this.
Its a cash shop for vanity stuff.
If it starts including progression boost stuff then so be it.
The only thing that would be pushing it would be
If you paid like 50$ to get an insta clear of coil ( minus the loot )
But if this game does turn into a F2P / pay to win game, then obvs you can just put the game down and move on. No point of getting pissed as you already experienced the game pre F2P/ P2W so its all good.
Because those vanity items and minions and mounts COULD HAVE BEEN IN THE GAME AS NORMAL REWARDS.Honestly i don't get y everyone is so blah about this.

FOR FREE.
FOR PLAYING THE GAME AND PAYING OUR SUBSCRIPTION.
BUT INSTEAD THEY'RE WITHHOLDING CONTENT AND SELLING IT TO YOU FOR REAL MONEY BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE DUMB ENOUGH TO SUPPORT THAT.
DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHY SOME OF US ARE UPSET NOW?
Lol! Holy crap you are seriously overreacting about some vanity items. Also, not all minions have been free since the start.Because those vanity items and minions and mounts COULD HAVE BEEN IN THE GAME AS NORMAL REWARDS.

Honestly, a few minions that you have to buy, which will be sold alongside other things things (like the mog plushe comes with the minion) is such a petty thing to be freaking out about.
Would you complain if there were exclusive minions for people who paid for certain things like the collector's edition?
Because it's the exact same thing. People pay more, they get more.
It's a fallacy to believe that if the cash shop didn't exist, this stuff would be given away for free. Rather, the logic SHOULD be: if it weren't for a cash shop, these items wouldn't be available at all. It DOES cost money to implement things, you know. Every single thing has to be tested before it goes out the door to make sure the cactuar earrings don't change your entire head into a cactuar when you put them on.
The cash shop means we'll be getting MORE cosmetic items, not less. Since each and every item's financial loss can be regained by selling it, it means more revenue for the company. Moreover, every single MMO out there and even the vast, VAST majority of single player games these days does exactly this.
