SE is missing a HUGE opportunity with this cash shop!

Instead of selling those unobtainable items on the cash shop...they could have been prizes for mini games in the gold saucer. Things in the cash shop should have been hairstyles, tattoos, face paints, and the introduction of character accessories (back packs, bandannas, other body piercings, even capes!) If there is anything i learned from the sims is that people would happily spend a large amount of money on vanity items and no one would be upset because none of this has any impact on the game and can't even be held under scrutiny of "withheld content".

They should put hairstyles and all that other fancy stuff you suggested in the cash shop, and keep the current cash shop items in the cash shop as well. Judging from how happy some people here seem to be to throw their money at SE, they'll make a killing. They don't need a big playerbase, just a few spending happy ones will do.

Do you really think they would've just left these things out of the game if not for the cash shop? How dumb are you? They would've been put in the game as normal rewards had people not shown support for a cash shop.

They could also sell RL Merchandise in the cash shop and put some bonus to some merchandise
I think many people would love that better than virtual ingame items

What hairstyles are we getting?? the one or two that are segregated to a particular race with the other being a crossover?? i'm talking a monthly updated list of hairstyles all can use. The cash shop IS HAPPENING....i'm just trying to petition to make it more bearable once it hits so we can actually feel like we're not being ripped off from purchasable content. -_-

Make it more bearable, by putting even more stuff in the game that's cash shop only. It's like trying to extinguish a fire by pouring gasoline over it.

The plan is that it's just vanity items (for now at least). And it has annoyed a lot of people, myself included, but that's not the issue here. Anyway, it would seem quite likely they will get these sort of items into a cash shop. Why? Because as you said, it sells!
