Honestly... I have no issues with the actual content itself. My beef has always been with the PEOPLE. THE END GAME COMMUNITY.

People need to understand that the endgame community that clears everything does not need to interact with those who can't clear anything unless they DF something or wish to talk about randomn things in chat. The real reason you hate the endgame community is because they don't need you, but you need them. They have no reason to help you however, unless they feel like it.

It's like commoners complaining about celebs/royals for being treated special while wishing they were a celebrity/royal so they could be treated special as well.

There shouldn't be a story behind Coil. Then there is no reason to have Coil lite. Here's to hoping they don't make the same mistake in 3.0 and thus saving us the trouble of all these threads popping up again and again..and again.

Take away the story from future raids and they will find something else to complain about. Like not receiving equal Ilevel gear by doing some roulettes to cap weekly.

As others have said... this wouldn't be an issue if story wasn't in it. Kind of like EX primals. The story for those is basically "Oh noes, primal iz BACK! Go git 'im!" which doesn't matter to most folks.

No. If there is a "lite coil", then it shouldn't drop any items, no matter how old said items are. Either find or make a static, or ignore the hardest content in the game. If you want a lite coil for story, then http://www.youtube.com

I really dislike the "go to Youtube" arguments. That is dismissing the whole point of being a gamer. The point of playing a game is the interaction. Furthermore, in an MMORPG, that interaction is extended to other players and NPCs. Would you want to be invited to a friends house to just watch Metal Gear Solid, Call of Duty, or any other game you enjoy? Hell no, you want to play that game and be a part of the events that unfold.

I can watch trailers and gameplay of said shooter/rpg/platform games all day and it does nothing for me unless I'm the one behind the controller/keyboard.

I understand what you mean.What I wish to know then is, would it truly be immersive if instead of doing an epic fight where you give it your all or die trying, you instead push some randomn buttons, stand in circles only to lose 10% of your hp and have the boss drop dead in no time and be rewarded with an epic cutscene? You get an epic conclusion to a joke of a fight. That would really kill immersion for me.

This whole thing reminds me of something I experienced a month ago. Members of my FC and I saw someone waiting in PF for a T5. He had been there at least 4 consecutive days and no one ever joined his party.

We decided to go in as 7 people to get him the clear for free and all that. Didn't realize he was still watching the cutscene, locked him out, and beat it. He was extremely pissed and couldn't believe we ruined it for him. \

What did we do next, you ask? We ran T5 with him included until he got his Allagan fists.
For people that farm T9, that's pretty elitist, huh? (sarcasm for those that don't understand)

Moral of the story - For every person on the forums that complains about wanting content easier, there's at least one that wants to be challenged.

It's difficult to progress without a static..I don't have one because I don't have 5 hours to dedicate every night or weekends because I have stuff to do. This is the one thing hardcore players or players who have a set time period to play and choose to static have.

Sorry to nitpick on your post. I'm generally fine with what you said with the exception of the one above in the quote. A static is made up entirely of like-minded players who can agree to a certain time schedule they can work with. I know, not my business - but this is something I'd like to address to everyone. Heck, I know a static in Cactuar that runs for only an hour a day, two times a week, and they're already working on T9. This is just something I want to point out since people seems to relate statics to extreme commitment.

Though, a story mode for coil would be nice for people who can't raid because of erratic schedules that prevent them from picking a specific time to play. At the same time, how much worth would the cutscenes become? I see the pretty cutscenes as a bonus reward for clearing the content. I get giddy when I am presented with one I have never seen, but I can understand that people just want the story without the stress. But this devalues the experience in my perspective. I'm not against a story mode - it would be really nice for everyone to learn the history of Eorzea. This is coming from someone who is currently working on T9, and I can say that it doesn't matter if there is a story mode for those who enjoy lore.

How about you stop whining and actually learn the strats ?
I mean unless you're brain dead it's really not that hard to figure out.

People are just lazy as fuck imo.
You can create a static (of course it takes time).
Create a linkshell and invite good people you see in so that you can invite them all into one kill group later on.
It takes time, but it'll be worth it.

PS: T5 is totally doable in pug now. Downed it on my alt the night I leveled to 50 and my server is well known for his rubbish PF.

So yeah, git gud bruh.
