There is an easy mode coil for storyline. It's called YouTube.

As far as being able to clear it to get to the next coil, until you can beat it with echo, you really don't need to be in the next coil. Coil is the one thing hardcore players have, let them have it.

I'm not saying they erase the mechanics, just ease up on one-shots & the like.

People will still learn, and it'll actually be a good step toward graduation to Normal Mode.

Sure, not everyone will 'want to graduate', but enough will for the gear at least.

Chances are that many of those people that still struggle on t5 have practically hit their MMO skill-cap anyway (don't mean this to be rude, frankly it'll be a fact in many cases & not true of everyone).

So let them have the story & the feeling of accomplishment even if it's an easier tier.

Then there is no point in going further in, it only gets harder.
And as said earlier, content has already been nerfed like crazy, it's just as hard as Titan HM nowadays.

People just need to pay attention more in fight, maybe use a vocal communication device and get one person to call every mechanics to ease it on others.

But don't worry, it's more than doable now, get to work.

Don't nerf Coil content until after 3.0 comes out and there is a replacement. This is coming from someone who has not even been able to do coil yet because it is difficult and I would benefit greatly from the suggestions in the OP.

OP: I like your ideas and hope they get implemented, but now is not the time. Also, i'm pretty sure they already have plans to do what you are asking for.

It's pretty clear to me that a lot of people here have no idea how many players haven't even cleared T5 yet. I've been trying to get the clear for my alt and there are so many people who are still brick walled by twintania.

I think OP completely missed the situation itself:

Main quest scenario: easy fights for everyone, you will watch the cutscenes (and hold, FFXI had not a so easy progress, CoP missions was messy at the start especially for the level cap).
End game content: contents for players who enjoy the challenge.

Now, main quest scenario: Primals. And you have your story-version.
End game: Coil (for now, but it will be something different after the final turns). Echo has already no sense in there even for outdated turns since it's exclusively for hardcore players (and it will be easier in any way since you will boost your il., if you're curious about cutscenes but you're lazy and you don't want to prepare yourself for it then just youtube it).

I see no points in this or are you just saying you want to clear end game contents without being good for it and improve your job related gameplay by dealing with end game mechanic? There is no reasons you want these clears if not for the gear and achievements that must stay exclusively for players interested to improve for it. If you just want to see cutscene then youtube it: and that's already a great possibility you're receiving by watching them on youtube.

Speaking in offline RPG / J-RPG terms, you clear main scenario by leveling and defeating final boss (Ultima, Primals ect. in our case) then you do the hardest content only when you reach the highest level and by dealing with the boss mechanic (there's no story-mode version of Ozma from FFIX or Yazmat from FFXII).

Plus this is a MMORPG, you really need to improve your social abilities and your gameplay if you can't even beat T5 nowday that's a bit embarassing. :P
Anyway, it's all fine receiving help by friends or it really make no sense playing MMORPG by following your requests.
