I think it has to do with content burnout. Take for example every new Expert Roulette Dungeon, or even the Crystal Tower raids every patch - they don't last long and people get bored of them quickly because of how accessible it is. The reason why the latest coil isn't immediately presented in DF is to prevent this kind of content burnout. Of course, this only applies to coil because it's the only content with a dungeon lockout instead of a loot lockout like the Crystal Tower raids.

They do. I took the time to build mine up and half of us have school/classes, while the other half have jobs, and we all have families to attend to. We only gather twice a week for 2 to 3 hours a day, and we are currently working on T9. So I have to disagree with you on this.
